I have been going to Jackie for 10+ years and we all know a good hair colorist is hard to come by. Jackie not only makes sure that my colors are flattering for me but she will let you know if a color is just not going to work for you or cause long term damage to your hair. On top of that she also knows how to cut and style curly hair, something that very few know how to do. If you are looking for the best cut and color in the Valley then you go to Jackie! read more

Exactly what we needed! We are not from the area. Attending a local wedding and needed make-up for my 80 yr old mother and a blow- out for myself. We were thrilled with the results. Jackie was a gem; sweet, fun and punctual. My mother's makeup was very natural and not to heavy. My hair was blown out, sleek with body. I loved it!! Thank you Jackie! I'd recommend you in a heartbeat read more

Jackie Davis Beauty is a one of a kind experience. The salon is pristine and private! It's like an oasis, without hearing five other hair dryers going off, or smelling someone else's treatment. It's so pleasant and relaxing. Jackie is also one of a kind. She is seriously a master at turning drab to fab. I could not believe the difference from when I showed up to when I left. My hair was all frizz, fly aways and roots. She not only cleaned it up, but helped bring some health and life to these locks that have taken a beating from harsh LA water. The styling was great, and it kept its shape for more than just a day. Jackie also does make up (which I did at the same time.) She works wonders!! She actually listens to what you want and what will suit you. She's incredible with dramatic eyes and lips, and also covering those annoying blemishes. She is laser focused at matching your color perfectly and you never, ever need to worry about being overdone. Ever. It's nice to have someone who is gifted at a job they love, and truly focuses on you as her client. On top of it all, Jackie makes you feel completely at ease, is really funny, and has a wonderful personality. There is nothing bad I can say, no suggestion, no critique. I am so happy to be a client of Jackie's. I will never go anywhere else again! read more

Jackie is the best!! I get highlights, cut, color, basically everything with her. I've been going to her for years now, and trust her with the color of my hair as well as my hair health. When I first came in, my hair was dry and color damaged and she nursed it back to health with oils, while maintaining my color. Her new studio on Topanga is adorable; I love that it's private so you can focus on beautifying the hair without tons of conversations and other people circling around you. I'm an actress and digital content creator, so I'm always looking for fun new ways to color/style my hair, and Jackie has the perfect blend of expertise with creativity. Love her! read more

Absolute best hairdresser in town! I went to Jackie Davis for color correction and a cut and will never go to anyone else again. I live in San Francisco, and fly down every few months to have Jackie cut my hair, so am totally thrilled for her to have her own salon now. She is the only stylist to ever cut my long hair perfectly, and I will follow her wherever she goes. Not only is she talented and professional, but she's also warm, honest, and absolutely hilarious. Jackie is an absolutely amazing hair trainer, tamer, magician! Everyone leaves her studio looking beautiful and whether it's hair or make-up, when I've had Jackie's magical touch, I get compliments from friends, acquaintances, and strangers at how beautiful my hair and I look. Jackie has been doing my hair for as long as I can remember! I would travel just about anywhere to make sure she does it. Her extensive knowledge of the color world and her cutting skills are unlike anyone I've met. She is fun, friendly and it's always a treat to sit in her chair. It feels as if I'm getting the royal treatment each time I have an appointment. Her new salon is beautiful and super clean, which of course is very important to me. What can I say but that Jackie Davis is a true artist with a tint brush. She is so knowledgeable and well rounded. So, when I wanted to go from a dark red violet to a light/medium cool blonde of course I turned to Jackie. Using an extra product called Olaplex she was able to give me my cool blonde and my hair was in amazing condition. Thanx soooo much! I truly love my new look!!;) read more

Jackie is extraordinary. I drive 30 miles to her shop (I don't live in the valley) because I just can't quit her. She is a true ARTIST and gifts everyone the feeling of a full makeover, even if it's a simple trim or blowout. Her mastery with hair color is mind-blowing. She creates or find the sweet spot with both color and cut that makes it look effortless. The best part is, I am TERRIBLE with hair but when she does mine, it actually looks good after I wash it. EACH time. She is excellent with make-up as well. She takes one's assets and really enhances them, and again, it looks effortless. I've gone to her for at least a decade (minus that one year when I tried to find someone just as good near my house, and failed to find anyone half as good near me). My mom goes, my best friend goes, my best friend's mom goes (seriously, she does), sisters in law, etc. She's also really funny and down to earth, so I actually look forward to going instead of annoyed as I am with others. Just sayin'.... Also- this is only my 2nd Yelp review ever. EVER. She's that good. read more

Jackie has been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair for nearly twenty years. I moved to Denver five years ago, but still return to Los Angles every few months for Jackie to do my hair. I am not willing to give her up. She is a master colorist and always give me the perfect cut. Jackie has been my go-to for every social occasion -- weddings (including my own), baby showers, graduations, and others. Not only does she do a beautiful cut and color, but she also does stunning updos. Additionally, I cannot compliment her enough on her ability to do makeup. She truly is an artist. I am consistently impressed with Jackie's range. My style preferences are more traditional, but I have seen Jackie's work on other men and women. She can do traditional, trendy, wild or avant garde -- and it's all done masterfully. You won't be disappointed. read more

For years, I had my hair cut by the same barber, John at Angelo's. He did a really good job and when I went in, after the usual greetings and initial banter, John would ask me, "So, Jack, the usual?" and I would say "Yes" and he cut my hair the same way, more or less, just the way I liked it for 20 years. When John retired, I thought about trying one of the other barbers in the same shop - all good barbers, and I know them all by name. But, my wife suggested that I give Jackie a try when she was over at Strands. I went in, feeling a little weird being the only guy there, but Jackie didn't have me wait hardly at all, she got me situated, asked how I liked my haircut. I told her to do whatever she thought looked good, and she went to work. The most unbelievable thing happened next, and this is no exaggeration. She gave me one of the best haircuts I ever had in about 20 minutes. I was used to sitting in the chair for a good 45 minutes to almost an hour before! When I went back the 2nd time, we said hello, I sat down, and she cut my hair the exact same way. She didn't even ask me if I wanted "my usual". She knew! Now that she's in her own shop, It's even better. I feel less self conscious about being the only guy there (besides Jackie, I'm the only person there!) and it's really a pleasure to have her cut my hair. It's quiet, comfortable and if I behave and don't fuss, when it's all over she gives me a cookie! read more

Jackie is so talented! I colored my virgin hair for the first time and asked her for a caramel balayage and she totally delivered. She's a professional through and through. Jackie has been doing my cut and color for close to 20 years. Her passion for hair is unparalleled and proven by her extensive knowledge of the industry, trends, and processes. She's honest about what's possible, what will look great, and what won't. Her salon is adorable and clean. She also happens to be one of my closest friends and not once have I had to bite my tongue about her work. I also drive an hour round trip to see her - she's that good. read more

Jackie is the best hair stylist I have ever been to! Her knowledge of color is beyond anyone I have ever been to. And her haircutting and styling skills are exceptional. Her talents go beyond hair as she's a fabulous make-up artist too. She always runs on time (if not early) and maintains a very professional and clean salon. I always look forward to my appointments with her as she's not only an amazing hair stylist but a wonderful person too! read more
