Stopped by to check out the giant jack rabbit and sit on it for some photos. This trading post is easy to get to since it is right off I-40. Unfortunately, the trading post itself was closed when we stopped. This is definitely a fun and free Route 66 roadside attraction to stop and see. read more

Love this place! The prices are nice, the selection is great and the people are friendly.

I wasn't sure why Mr. R was so insistent on stopping here on our Route 66 trip in 2022, but I'm always down for a good roadside stop. We spoke with a man who's one of the owners, and Mr. R had him make us a sign noting how many miles we traveled to get there. It now hangs proudly in our cabin and when I see it it brings back good memories. In the store you can also grab a t-shirt, though the stock of some sizes was small while we were there (supply chain issues?), or grab a snack for the road. Loved the quirky "Here it is" sign complete with little rabbit cutouts along the top. And yes, Mr. R did talk me into getting my picture taken on the rabbit and insisted that I wave my arm over my head like a mechanical bull rider which was good for a laugh. This was the farthest west we made it on that trip, and I'm glad we went the extra hour or so to stop here before turning back. read more

We've had so much fun on Route 66 and Jack Rabbit Trading Post is definitely part of the fun! Perfect roadside stop for photos on the jack rabbit and of course souvenir shopping. There's also a mini museum packed full of Route 66 memorabilia and history. We were greeted by the kindest lady, she made us feel so welcome and invited! We almost didn't stop but are so glad we did, the prices were so good we walked away with some petrified wood, Road Kill Seasoning and a souvenir pin. read more

Even after visiting here, I'm still trying to figure out what makes this place so iconic. It's been on Route 66 since the 1940s, and for whatever reason the "Here It Is" sign is a legend. Very much out in the middle of nowhere, it's a shop with several broken cars parked in front of it. Plenty of photo ops there, including riding on the rabbit. The store is alright, as there is no shortage of Route 66 and Jack Rabbit souvenirs. The guy was sorta friendly, as he has owned the place for many years. If you're a bit dehydrated, they have a decent selection of sodas and drinks. I'm not saying you should skip this; maybe you might find this more fascinating than I did. read more

Exit off the 40 for a little bit to get a great photo op. It's a good place to make a stop, stretch your legs, and buy some snacks and souvenirs! They post that they're open on Sundays from 10-4 but they aren't. They were closed which was disappointing.

Adorable and well-stocked in spite of supply logistics challenges. Super sweet owners - we stopped back in on our return home and brought them some jam from Catoosa. Bought what I thought was a silver bracelet and woke up with a bad rash on my wrist it's definitely not silver because I'm allergic to any other cheap metal I always have to be careful of the jewelry I get because how allergic I am and the man told me that it was silver. If you're looking for authentic Native American jewelry, this place has some really nice pieces. Some are antique and are reasonably priced. There's Route 66 souvenirs, Jack Rabbit Trading Post shirts and souvenirs, and they carry beautifully painted pottery and ornaments from an artist out of Albuquerque, NM.
