Some black stuff in the Breakfast Jack
main P.

One of my friends visited this store and they found some black spots on their breakfast Jack seems like this store continues to fail on cleanliness.

The drive-thru menu board

Wow, the food at Jack in the Box ( JITB ) has really gone downhill. But the worst part, they charge you more for it. This is the Jack in the Box on Marina Blvd & Alvarado St in San Leandro. It's down the street from Kaiser Hospital. I was reading the Yelp reviews for this place, and thought...."how can it be that bad?" So I decided to swing by and order something. At 9pm, there was only one car in drive-thru. My order was: - Sourdough Jack Combo, $10.18 w/ medium fries, and medium drink - Jalapeno Poppers, 3 for $3.89 Okay, the Jalapeno Poppers were good. They're juicy, hot and spicy. But they're pricey at about $1.29 each. Ranch dip included. The Fries were hot and crispy. The medium drink is about 28-30-ozs. The Sourdough Jack is a ripoff. No way does that burger look like the menu photo, nor does it look like it did just ten years ago. The meat patty is smaller and thinner, and isn't juicy like a freshly cooked burger. You pick up the burger, and you can't even see the meat patty. All the condiments are there, but the meat patty should be the star of show. It just doesn't quite taste like real beef. Service? No problem. I had a good experience in the drive-thru. The two ladies were friendly, funny and professional. 4- stars for the service 1- star for the food

Inside the taco minus the iceberg.

I stepped out to grab something quick and decided on tacos from Jack in the Crack. I realized all I've eaten today is a 250 calorie Santa Fe Salad, one ball of Lindt Lindor dark chocolate and a few handfuls popcorn. NOT enough calories. It's fast food but Jack in the Crack is one of the more preferred for many items. They're open 24/7 and almost 365 days a year. The tacos are so yummy to me. It's a go to when I want to satisfy a guilty pleasure. The meat is suspect, very mushy but the combination of the meat, taco sauce and American cheese just works. I went through the drive-thru and service good. I appreciated being given teriyaki sauce despite ordering tacos only.

I mean it's Jack in the box I'm giving a review because the young man taking the orders was very patient and professional It was 1am Long line people were acting up however customer service was good Food was okay

The bad
Guillermo J.

The good, it's, close to my house. Maybe a 5 min drive. Everyone is Preety cordial at the window. The bad. My burger never looks like advertised. Also always seem to get my order wrong. Missed my fries. Place is preety chill for San Leandro lol.

Yvette S.

These were supposed to be "curly " fries. They are nothing but pieces. When I pointed it out to the manager (rude Asian lady), she said that's the way they were sent to them. Also, sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was cold & dry and had NO sausage on it!

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Definitely will be back.

Tortilla was dry and oily. Al Pastor tacos- bland meat with a lingering dry pepper aftertaste that makes the meat taste old. Took one bite and was immediately repulsed. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.

Everyone working here is always in a good mood, smiling and singing. That's always a good sign. I always get the crispy tacos they are so good! The salsa is so fresh you can really taste every ingredient in them. I love the chips too, so crispy but somehow light at the same time. Today, I wasn't feeling very well. Just under the weather and bummed out I was feeling crappy on my day off. I came to my favorite taqueria and was greeted so warmly, it actually made me feel much better. I ordered soup this time the caldo de res it's a beef soup. And it was excellent and exactly what I needed. The broth was flavorful and rich but light and clear at the same time. Full of veggies and served with rice, tortillas and chopped onion and cilantro. It fixed my whole life. I also enjoy the people watching here. Everyone comes here, young people, old people and people of all race and colors. Workers on lunch breaks and families, and me on my own catching a delicious meal on my day off. I love it here and I come pretty regularly. It's one of my favorites.

While the burrito was definitely "super" in size, the proportions were way off. It was heavily packed with rice and beans--which were fine--but they clearly skimped on the carne asada. When you're paying for a premium burrito, you expect the meat to be the star of the show, not a background character. It felt more like a vegetarian burrito with a few guest appearances by the steak. If you're looking for a massive meal and don't mind the filler, this hits the spot, but for those of us looking for a balanced meat-to-rice ratio, this one missed the mark. Hopefully, it was just an off day for the line cook.

The Kabobs were Served with Pilaf, Pita, and some of the best baba ganoush I have had in the US. They were very accommodating on the "one with no peppers" request, and subbed in extra grilled onions, which we all loved. Lots of yummy sides, made it a truly memorable meal. As to delivery, I pre-paid, and set it for a 6 pm delivery. Got a text message at 5:57 "3 minutes out" .... and at PRECISELY 6 pm Anthony was bringing it up the walkway. Well seasoned and because it's chopped into smaller pieces, helps chew through the tough bites Pollo 4.5/5 This caught me by surprise because it tasted almost like carnitas.
