Quick stop in to use restrooms and grab a coffee and bite. Employees were all wrong masks and gloves. Parking lot and restrooms were clean. Service was fast. Food hot and met expectations. No complaints.

Drive-thru taken: last stop before heading home. Two Diet Cokes ordered. Line was long and moved at a medium pace. The worker was masked and kind. The drink was cold and good! Good service and drink! Recommended!

Passing through and needed somewhere to get a quick bite to eat. Came in to Jack in the Box and the staff here was very attentive to our needs. Eating area was very clean inviting. Onion rings were crispy and delicious so were the seasoned fries. Milk shakes are thick and delicious. Will definitely come here again in the near future.

[Project: "Kicken It Outta Da Can!" - 1 Year In The Draft Queue Is Long Enough!] Best Jack Tacos Next to Vallejo's Tennessee Street. SITREP I stop at this Jack's a bit more often on L.A.-Sacramento trips since it's about at the halfway point here in Kettleman City, and I usually get gas here - always on the trip back to Sacramento - and so once off-ramped, might as well look for food too. SETUP I really like the tacos at this Jack in the Box - for 4 for $2, that's usually enough to fill the hole in my stomach until I get back to Sacramento in the next 3 hours (on average). COMPARISONS I have come to respect the fact that though it may be coincidental(?) at times, I've noticed that different franchises of the same restaurant chain, sometimes do things better than other franchisees. I'm not a fan of the tacos at the Pinole Valley Jack In The Box off I-80, since the best tacos I've had any Jack's are at the Jack in Vallejo just off of Tennessee street, FTR. But the tacos at this Jack's in Kettleman City are not far behind. Thick, full of good stuff, not limpy lettuce, decent amount of cheese, so I'm pretty impressed with how good ONE TACO can be at 50 cents. 2 for $1. Or in my case, 4 for $2. THE LOWDOWN My preferred Jack stop for late night I-5 freeway travel when I want some cheap, inexpensive, and good tacos.

My receipt.

Fine food, clean bathrooms. Didn't have to wait long for food. What more can you ask for during a road trip stop?

We had the wet burrito and it was delicious. Definitely has a spicy kick to it. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit!

Do you own a dog? Then this is possibly your only viable location to stop that has actual grass…read more Everywhere else has wood chips or artificial grass. I've been interested in eating here for about a year. For about a year, we have been making Dunkin Donuts our mid-point stop on our way to the beach. Both to and from. That's because we always bring our dog with us. Plus my youngest always needs to "go" before we reach our destination.. Idk why I posted only this, but there's much more to talk about. Today, we pushed ourselves further than we should have and are in desperate need of food. The majority want Mexican, so I suggest Chalio's. There are other Mexican restaurants, but this one is in the main area and looks the most maintained. Looks can be deceiving though. Maybe at one time this was a decent sit down restaurant. Now it looks pretty run down. The restrooms are the most telling. I don't think anyone really cleans them. Probably just restocks them. The trash cans were overfilled, and the menu has also been taken over by bright paper covering old menu items and advertising new. Considering the size of Kettleman, this is par for the course, sadly. But the food. The food is great. We got the birria tacos and asada fries because they were out of nachos. What was supposed to be a quick to-go stop turned into a sit down because the kids asada fries took so long. I didn't mind. I was driving and needed time to eat. The birria tacos themselves were just OK in my opinion. Nothing a few squeezes of lemon wouldn't fix. But my friend from Ghana who traveled with us was blown away. He got the regular tacos, which have become his favorite food here in California. I guess if you've never had birria tacos before, these would be good. His eyes widened from his one bite, so it looked like he was experiencing something spiritual lol. If you're looking for clean restrooms and good Mexican food, park at Dunkin, do what you need to do, and walk over

The outside of the place is cute, the bathrooms are clean, and the shop itself is adorable with a ton of stuff to browse and buy. If you're stopping by, grab a coffee, use the bathroom, check out the shop and then run out of there before ordering breakfast. If you have kids, they do have an outside play area.

Supposed to have the works(per the lady working the register) asada, beans, onion cilantro, avocado, sour cream, cheese & lettuce (I omitted the rice) - $40 for 2 burritos sorry, ridiculously over priced. Got worse when I bit into the burrito and all it had was meat and beans - w/a touch of sour cream. Got to the middle of the burrito - still no avocado, onion, cilantro, cheese, lettuce in sight. This wasn't an error either because both burritos were ordered exactly the same way and both were made the same. The truck had one worker and one customer besides me, so there's no oversight. This has been a stop for me for over 10yrs for a quick bite while on the 5, as of today never again.
