It was a very step-by-step process, explaining all of my coverage and payment options. I will definitely be back when I do my renewal in a few months.

I really recommend East Village Insurance - call and ask for Rob, he'll take care of you!…read more I've had some less than average experiences with several insurance brokers for my car, home and RV insurance. These places have been under-informed, didn't offer or explain much, were cranky and no fun to deal with, and just rushed through the process to get me out the door. Today was my first time dealing with EV Insurance and it was awesome. After a brief consultation on the phone I went into the location. Rob walked me through several options for my vehicle insurance, I learned some new things along the way, and was able to make an informed decision on my RV insurance purchase for the upcoming season. I think I'll move my other insurance business over here when it's time to renew next! I could tell Rob knew what we was talking about and has experience in what he does - he was up front and a pleasure to deal with. They seem like a good local business to go out and support!

The wait times can be a bit long if there's a line (they're a small operation and these things take time) so if there's more than a couple people ahead of you, just go do some shopping in the mall and come back in a bit, easy peasy. I have been renewing my insurance at this Kingsgate location for 20 years. I know the owner…read morerecognizes me. I own 3 vehicles, two motorcycles and a trailer and have renewed all of them multiple times at this location. I have never had any problem with payment not going through or any other issue on my part... I pay in full by credit card. But despite that, nearly every time I come in, this particular owner finds a way to delay or obstruct simple renewals. For example, today, May 4th 2026... I went in to renew my trailer insurance. I provided my drivers licence and told him I wanted to renew the insurance on the trailer. His response was to demand I describe the trailer in detail, manufacturer name, etc. and implied if I didn't, he would not be able to offer insurance. In the past he has provided incorrect information regarding who may or may not legally drive a vehicle I had insured, as well as generally demanding answers to questions which are not relevant. I have now decided I will not use this particular branch of the Sussex business ever again. I had no problems with other Sussex branches... only this one.

I went in to get some storage insurance on a vehicle because my old broker was closed at the time…read more They figured out that my previous broker had applied the wrong discount to my insured vehicle (not the one I had come in about), called up ICBC and got ICBC to send me a cheque for a refund of a few hundred. I've been happy with them ever since. They're also willing to talk with you over the phone for minor questions (which saves you 40 minutes on hold with ICBC) They are also knowledgeable about the PWD discount. Previous brokers were clueless on how to process the letters / how the process worked etc. Last time I was in, they were helping someone from Alberta in getting a car registered in BC after her Alberta registration documents were stolen. They went the extra mile for her - she came in freaking out after a bad experience at another broker, they calmed her down, printed out forms to send to AB, explained that the process would take some time, etc. I've never had a super cheery insurance broker (not sure what's up with that) but they're pretty good folks.

Practically in…read morethe heart of the city, located near the Cambie Street bridge, this one is located right at VPD headquarters, if you know where it is. As mentioned, looking for this place, as per the entrance can be a trick, as it is a one way street your rolling down. Cop car here, cop car there, cop car everywhere, then you see the big drive in that says 'Claims'. As like every ICBC place, you roll your car up, the window opens, they open the gates and tell you which stall to roll your ride up to. I am an insurance guy, so coming into an insurance claims centre, talking insurance lingo is normal speech. I have never had a problem with the adjusters working here, actually all of them have been really pleasant to deal with. I came in here, as with the snow, someone 'kissed' my bumper, and I did not know if there was any damage. The people here are very thorough in going through things, even if it looks like nothing. The level of care and showing me every little thing that was not part of the intial claim was nice to know. Even though it took some of my day, as in time, and I would rather not come, cause if you do, obviously it's related to your car, this is the claims centre that I would come to. The people make you understand the damage that has happened, and they have a nice big waiting area with enough water, coffee, and newspapers to pass the time.
