I had such a wonderful experience! The place was clean and my tech and owner Bryan is great. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients. Her service for a full set with design is top-notch. I first booked an appointment here because my mom has been a loyal customer for a couple months now, I asked specifically for a gel manicure ( thats what we asked for when making the appointment ) i explained to my nail tech that i've had very bad experiences with acrylic nails and explained that it practically ruined my nails. I thought the tech took this into consideration, but when we started he continued to apply acrylic after everything i told him. I was unsure what he was actually using and decided to trust the process. The nails turned out amazing I wont lie, but he completely disregarded my past experiences for the extra money. I later on booked an appointment to have them removed so I didn't further damage my nails, I arrived on time but the place was packed and only 4 techs were working. They rescheduled a couple people due to overbooking, once I got sat I was told that they couldn't take off my nails because he didn't want to switch between clients, I explained that i cannot work with the nails and would not mind if he went back and forth between clients. He was very rude and condescending towards me and decided to just file them down to basically nothing. I was then told to come back on a day they were not open to get them removed and to remind the tech that I was coming in that day. Mean. Just mean. The guy literally would not take my nails off when clearly i had a horrible reaction. He didn't have me wash my hands and he didn't clean anything between the client he just had and me ... I had to go to a separate place to have them taken off , then the hospital for skin treatment. No, i have never had a reaction to getting my nails done. I had my nails done there two days ago, there's bubbles on five of them, a couple of my nails she didn't get the paint all the way to the edge on both coats, so there's lumps, two of them have already cracked, and the edges were really rough when I got out of the salon. I don't think she did a very good job. a couple of times I had to ask her to fix bubbles and make sure that the Polish got all the way out to the edges and it's still the worst nail job I've had in a long time. It looks good from a distance but pretty bad close up I won't be going back. I generally get my nails done about every 4 weeks, and the gel polish is usually bulletproof, the stuff is crap. Also, I made an appointment, was there exactly on time, and they just taken two other girls for pedicures, so I had to sit and soak my feet for over half an hour before they got to me. read more

First thing is I'm very picky about my nails. So I'm from out of state so I had no idea of what a good place is around here but this was the only place in my vicinity so I went despite the reviews. My heels are still rough, but the leg massage and hot towels were nice. No one offered water and it was VERY hot in the salon, perhaps the AC was broken, though no one mentioned it. I scheduled an appt. for 12:30 p.m. When I arrived, the waiting room was full and they were running an hour behind schedule. There were at least 7 techs working however they never got back on schedule. The waiting room continued to pile up. I have not had the best experiences here. For awhile it was one of the only nail places in town so you didnt have any choices. I feel the lack of customer service may be due to that....The last time I used their services I was getting a pedicure and got french tip on my toes. I slipped a little bit when getting up from the chair and caught my wet polish on something so my big toe had to be redone. I would not recommend this place. The only reason me and my friend went here was because all the other shops had 2-3 hour wait. So we decided to go here. Once arriving is was so hot and muggy in the place it was hard to breathe, then the lady said to us in a rude rushed way "what do you want" We told her we would like a fill. The lady then had us pick out colors so we did. Once getting at the station I noticed she didn't use sanitized tools. I was disgusted. As she was doing my nails she was extremely rough. Made me and my friend bleed and have open skin on our hands. We repeatedly pulled our hands back because it hurt but she never stopped being so rough. She never spoke to us she was very impersonal. I also noticed when the other staff was done doing a pedicure the lady cleaned the chair and the foot tub with the customers warm rag. That is disgusting. The owner..... male..... did my nails and I knew something was wrong when he did not leave gel in hardening machine long enough. He rushed through. And sure enough...... within two days. .......Three of nails had peeled their polish. I have had gel nails over five years and never had that happen. I would not pay five cents to go there again. So, I choose Ja-Mi nails as they had good reviews online. I went in for my wedding nails with my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids had great service. Me on the other hand, I did not. My pedicure was good. I got to my manicure and it went downhill. The guy doing my nails, clipped my nails at the pedicure bed, but put the bowl of water to soak my hand in on my lap, and was looking at things going on at the salon while pushing back my cuticles. He then moved me to a manicure station, told me that my French manicure with glitter idea was not what he would do, and thought it wasn't classy, but didn't offer any other ideas. I probably would have been better off with a female to gush over ideas...I needed a little help with my bridal nails. He wasn't happy putting glitter on my French manicure. He didn't offer to do a design or rhinestones...and I had already told him I was a bride the next day. Then upon payment, I asked if a card was ok. He asked if I could pay by check. I didn't have a check (who does???) or cash and handed my card over. He huffed and puffed over running my card. He lost 50% of my cash tip I was planning on giving him right there. I almost cried afterwards. I just wanted a good nails experience with my maids and it went downhill. I came into this nail salon at about 3:20 PM in the afternoon on a Wednesday, I was told it would be 20 minutes while the person was doing someone's pedicure, then someone else came in to get a pedicure and at this point I was still sitting there in my chair. I was there to have my nails soaked off and just have a manicure. The attendant told the next person who came in that she could do her nails while she had me soak off at this point I had been there already 20 minutes. I complained and she started soaking my nails off while she was doing the pedicure I ended up leaving at 5 PM for a simple soak off and manicure. I also had to ask her to change her gloves while she was attending to me from the previous pedicure, there was only one person there I felt put off. I am not one to complain, but the Unsanitary conditions, lack of washing hands properly before attending to other patrons, I highly do not recommend this place. I would recommend if you have to have your nails done try to wait and go to a larger city. read more

My friend and I went there the day before her wedding. She had called ahead and made an appointment about a week earlier. Her toes were done right away but needed to wait for the one person that does a full set (apparently the other workers there weren't able to do it?!). While she was waiting another girl came in with some problem with her nails and so they put her ahead of my friend. My friend had her meeting with the minister and left after waiting over an hour when she had made an appointment. I was also disgusted when I went to pay for my nails and tried giving the guy a credit card. He told me no, that he only takes cash. No where was cash only posted and all of my other friends were able to pay with cards. I think he saw cash in my wallet (that was meant to pay for my share of the cabin we were renting) and decided he wanted that instead.
