Hands down, one of my favorite vacation spots!!!…read more My sister and I came here several years ago and stayed for 3 nights prior to continuing on a western road trip, but we knew we wanted to come back to the Vee Bar again. Flash forward three years - not only did we come back but this time, we stayed the entire week! We were so glad we got to experience the latter part of the week at the ranch - inclusive of trapshooting, archery, a day-long mountain ride, and an overnight camp-out! It was really humbling that the wranglers remembered us from our previous visit, too; we really felt a part of their family! Speaking of the staff - they are phenomenal and VERY accommodating! The on-site chef is AMAZING and provides gluten free/vegetarian/etc. options during the buffet-style meals; the wranglers ensure you are comfortable at all times; Lori at the front desk was very responsive via email with my pre-travel questions; and housekeeping made our cabin looking fresh every day. All were very welcoming and friendly. Vee Bar puts together a very well-organized itinerary for the week too. As a planner, I personally love this. They have multiple activities for all activity levels and you're more than welcome to "skip" an activity if you wish. From horseback riding to hiking, they truly have something for everyone, and it's very evident they put a lot of time into creating a well-rounded trip experience. The reason why we chose Vee Bar initially (compared to other dude ranches) was due to its proximity to the Denver Airport. Now, I will gladly continue revisiting due to the GREAT experiences and memories made there. If you're wanting a true western experience, I couldn't recommend Vee Bar enough. I truly cannot say enough good things about this ranch!

We could imagine John Wayne being right at home here. Loved the decor in our room and the bed was very comfortable. Learning about some of the history of this property and surrounding areas from Cowboy Bob was an added bonus. Fishing and wine on the bridge - one of the many unique amenities at Whiskey Belle. Fishing was great. The bridge has been converted into a rustic outdoor dining area complete with a camp fire. The resident canines "Mist" and "Double Shot" were so friendly and we enjoyed watching them play. Breakfast was to notch and delicious, made with love and fresh ingredients. Our favorites were the homemade quiche and the palisades peach jam. We actually felt as though we were visiting with friends. Bob & Alana were the perfect hosts from our first contact with them to our wave's goodbye. We will definitely be coming back to the Whiskey Belle...hopefully very soon! One more thing, I got to see an owl in the wild - a personal bucket list item for me

It appears as though the hotel is out in the middle of nowhere, but that's OK because it's a beautiful property with a pool, a hot tub, and breakfast in the morning. None of which I will take advantage of, because I'm here on business and only for about 24 hours. The young ladies at the front desk could not have been more welcoming, and helpful with information about the area and how to get a cab, which apparently around here you have to reserve in advance. If you are in the area, don't stay anywhere else except the Fairfield Inn at Laramie, Wyoming!

This was my first Fairfield Inn and it turned out to be a great choice! I used the convenient Marriott mobile app, checked in online, and notified the hotel that I'd be arriving early and indicated the time. When I arrived, a room had already been assigned to me and I scored an upgrade to a Studio King suite. I'm not sure what the regular room looks like but the suite is a very functional set up that includes a small living room with a built-in storage unit, large screen tv, love seat, ottoman/footrest/table, desk and chair. There is an excellent floor lamp as well as a high quality desk lamp if you need some extra light to work. Plugs were easy to find. There's a convenient nook with a shelf, mini-fridge, and a microwave. The bed is comfortable, firm, not bouncy at all. Pillows were in good shape and the room was clean. My ac/heater (window) unit did blow pretty hard and there was no way to redirect the air, though the thermostat was quite responsive. So, as for me, I just ended up with a lot of unnecessary lukewarm air blowing around. No prob. Laramie is only about 15 minutes from corner to corner (the Fairfield is located in one of the corners next to the airport.) The drive to the University is easy and routes you around any possible traffic in town - a quick and easy 10 minutes. Friendly, efficient service, free breakfast (which I didn't eat,) plus 24-hour coffee in the lobby (is this a thing at all Fairfields?) I'd totally stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay!
