I ordered ahead of time over the phone and it still took an hour for my food to be ready. Literally everyone who came in had a phone order and it wasn't ready. The inside is small, no indoor seating. The wings were good! And I would get those again by themselves. The Mac n cheese tastes like it has American cheese it. The greens had a nice Smokey flavor, but overall weren't great. Conveniently located near Fayetteville technical community college, this is one of the rear places that I get sweet tea with my meal. My go to meal is a barbecue sandwich with slaw, hush puppies, and a sweet tea. When I arrived, the line was out the door, and I waited patiently for my turn to go inside the building. By the time it was my turn to order, the line was still outside the building, and I don't know at what point it got any smaller. This is the type of restaurant where you go to the window inside to place your order, retrieve your food once it's ready from the window, and go back to the window when you need refills on tea. The restaurant has a mix of hard back booths and tables with chairs, so they are good for small groups or parties of six. Although, a construction crew did come in while I was there and took up half the restaurant. They have a single restroom for women and a single restroom for men on the exterior of the restaurant, which I was leery to use at first, due to past experiences with external bathrooms, but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. I love this place, and it has been and will continue to be my go to place for barbecue and Fayetteville

When we arrived to pick up the order, the same rude behavior continued in person. We asked to speak with the owner, and the woman assisting us stated that she was the owner. When we explained that the person who took our order over the phone was rude, she responded by saying that we were "lucky" she even allowed us to place an order because they "don't normally place orders," which is simply not true, we have placed orders here many times in the past without issue. Customer service was unprofessional both on the phone and in person. Regardless of how busy a business may be, customers should be treated with respect. I had the small pork plate with coleslaw and potato salad. The pork had a hint of vinegar sauce but not overpowering. The coleslaw was very finely crated with a great taste. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. You can tell it's a local favorite. Only thing that wasn't good was the pork sausage they had as it had been cooked too long and was dried out. Everything else I had was very good.

Unfortunately, our experience left a very bad impression. When we arrived, we were greeted and began placing our order. I ordered the beef chopped cheese without the bun, and my boyfriend asked if they could make a chicken chopped cheese instead. The response we received was repeatedly, "We don't have that on the menu." We understood that it wasn't listed, and the employee did recommend the chicken wrap, which was basically the same ingredients in a wrap instead of on a bun. What disappointed us was not necessarily being told "no," but the tone and attitude used while speaking to my boyfriend. The interaction felt very standoffish and unprofessional. Even the cook in the back asked if there was a problem because the conversation had become uncomfortable. I work in the customer service industry myself, and there's always a respectful and professional way to communicate with guests, even when accommodating a request isn't possible. We've been to plenty of restaurants where simple substitutions are made as a courtesy, especially when the ingredients are already available. All that would have changed was replacing the wrap with bread. Again, I understand policies and menu limitations, but the delivery and attitude made the experience unpleasant. To make matters worse, when I got home and started eating my food, I found paper inside my chopped cheese sandwich. I do have pictures of it. We were genuinely trying to support a Black-owned business in the area, but after how we were treated, we won't be returning. Respectful customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately that was missing from our experience today.

You can't tell me the word hasn't got out for them. I like burgers, but they're certainly not my go-to because the idea of them is always better than the burger actually is. I've had some pretty great burgers, even. The one I got from here, though, has to be THE best burger I've ever had. The flavor was unexpected and amazing. And with how thick the patty was it was enough to satisfy, but I could definitely go for another just because it tasted so good. My kid got a meal with fries (I really wanted to try the mac and cheese, but was trying not to spend too much, I'll get to the great price, later). The fries were seasoned well and a great texture if you like them on the softer side, which I do. The service was just as great. The woman who took my order was patient, kind, friendly, and helpful. I don't always do well visiting new restaurants, but she made everything so easy. The place was immaculate! You can tell they take pride in cleanliness. Now for the price. It's about the same as you'd find at most burger places with bigger burgers. My son got just the plain Rub My Belly Burger with American cheese as a meal with fries and a soda. I got the same burger, but with onions. It all came out to $23 and some change. Now I wish I had gotten a meal myself so I could have gotten a side of that mac and cheese. I'm a picky person about mac and cheese and their's looked really good. I have a feeling it would be the best I've ever had. The meal, on the menu we looked at said $12 (maybe $12.50). Just the burger was $8, possibly extra for the onions. I didn't check to see how much extras would be. Unless the menu I looked at was older (I looked at the ones on the window) then getting a meal for myself would have only been a few bucks more. Next time. This place is my new go-to for burgers. My kid even said they were better than Culver's, which says something because he absolutely loves that place.
