They did a really thorough inventory when I moved in and they do inspections every three months, they give me copies of everything so I have no fears of any hidden problems when I eventually move out. I am kept updated of everything by phone and e-mail, and always call me back if I leave a message. They make an effort to remember exactly who you are and have all of your info in front of them when they speak to you. They have even made an allowance with me by letting me have my little dog, although they do get rather upset with me if I go into their office and I haven't got the dog with me for a cuddle. :)

Regardless, I needed a flat ("apartment") for a few months and Haslam's was one of the few that replied to my email. After taking my specifications (price, neighborhood, number of bedrooms, etc.), Haslam's set up an appointment for me to view two of their listed flats. The first one was nice, but it overlooked a rather busy street and I thought it would be too noisy. The second one looks out over a quiet and pretty back garden with a double door though no balcony. It has all the appliances I needed (Brits seem to like drying their clothes on a drying rack rather than an electric clothes dryer!) and a modern look and feel. Recently refurbished, it looks great and the furniture was good. I took it on the spot. Unfortunately, there's an approval process where they have to get a credit and background check, which meant another week in the hotel for me. Eventually, the paperwork came back and I met them in their office to go over the remaining details. Everything was explained well and my questions were answered, so I took possession and paid my remainder. The bathroom in the en-suite is almost like a wet room with a shower, sink and toilet all in a little room next to the entrance to your room. The kitchens are quite big with plenty of storage for everyone's food. It is right next to St Patrick's and it about a 5 minute walk to the main campus. It is also about 4 minutes away from a bus stop that will take you directly into town or towards asda. A one way ticket is £1.70 and an all day pass is £3.20. Overall the student village rocks!

However will return it in instalments. They also kept adding costs to the original agreed inventory list deductions. I cant warn anyone enough about this company as a letting agents. I am a landlord myself and I know what to expect from letting agents. This company is not anywhere near the required standard.
