Tony promptly called back and let me know that he'd drop by to see if he could be of help. He was knowledgeable and honest with how the project could lead in the best or, worst case scenario. The worst case scenario was that a new concrete counter would need to be considered in addition to a new sink if the counter was to crack. Once a date was set to start, all went better than anticipated! Because of some additional house work being done by a different work crew on the same day, there were multiple workers and equipment through the house but this didn't interfere with Tony's professional and focused work ethic. Trying to contact tony to get them fixed is such a hassle that you're honestly better off paying for stone.They look good for a month or two and then become scratched. They scratch far too easily and if they become damaged good luck trying to get Tony in to fix them. I'm currently going on week 3 of "cool bro I'll hit you up next week to fix it!" No answered phone calls, no texts. Price other options out, then factor in the hidden costs of not being able to get your specialized product repaired, never being able to contact tony, and factor in replacing your countertops with stone after a few short years.

My search for a good & fair priced handyman started in September. My mom rents out her condo in San…read moreMarcos and I live nearby so I help manage it. So whenever there's a problem (ie broken AC, leaks, anything broken) I have to find a solution to fix it. Well, problems started happening in September. My tenant texted me saying there were water bubbles forming in the ceiling, they were on the 3RD floor, and eventually traveled to the 2nd floor (it's a 3 story townhouse). Turns out, the AC line was clogged and the condensation was not draining properly causing it to flood the attic. At this point, I called an emergency plumber to fix it. That plumber came in, put 4 holes in the ceiling drywall, vacuumed the water out, and advised to let it all dry out before drywall can be patched up. After I paid the plumber, the plumber never followed back up with fixing the drywall. So the 4 holes in the ceiling drywall stayed like that till yesterday December 16, 2015.... 3 months. I had plans for my father-in-law to patch it, but he broke his hand so those plans fell through. Then I went to Home Depot in San Marcos one day looking at kitchen appliances and I asked them if they had handymen I could hire and that is how I found Sergio's Construction. Home Depot said that the handyman will contact me, and within 30 minutes, Sergio called. I went an unconventional way of getting an estimate but Sergio was still able to give me a quote. I had pictures of the drywall holes that needed to be fixed, I sent him pictures of it and he came back with a quote of around $1k. I think this was end of October beginning of November. Well, I kept putting fixing it off, then I called and sent another company to give me a quote (they quoted me $2k!!), then I contemplated some more, and finally came around and gave Sergio the ok to do work. I did drag my feet a lot to fix the drywall, but that's a lot of money for me! Sergio was professional. He emailed me a breakdown of the cost of everything, plus he said he could install 2 bathroom vanity lights for me as well. He said he could finish it all in a day as well and he did! I went by yesterday when they were painting the drywall, and everything looked great! I was really impressed with how fast he was and the tenants were happy with the results as well. I will definitely be using him again for any future projects (which is probably very soon, since I need an oven installed and he said they do that as well). Give this guy a call if you are looking for a handyman!
