It's like going on a treasure hunt and Ibon is one of the best places in Edmonton to do it. The owners have done a great job cramming in 1000s of antique trinkets into a 2 story shop without making it feel overcrowded. They have everything from vintage kitchenware (my favourite), to clothing, furniture, and more. Their prices are also comparable to most other shops. You aren't going to get an amazing deal here (it's not a thrift store after all!) but their prices are fair and sometimes you get lucky. I recently attended a wine and cheese night here. When I bought my ticket, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I just knew that I loved the store and I also love wine and cheese. This evening completely exceeded my expectations. Not only did I have an excuse to spend 2 hours looking at the store, they'd also brought in experts to talk about the different items in the store. They even had a musician from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra discussing his antique violins and giving demonstrations. I can't wait for their next event!

I would assume that a place that is about vintage wouldn't associate with a place like Temu, the fast fashion empire of non-sustainability. Really breaks my heart. I loved this place, I came here for two decades making memories and spending money. Buying all kinds of "treasures". I don't know about any of it because the trust is gone. These Temu earrings were labelled "Numinous Nova" so I assumed they were a maker. Like so many "makers" in the city and on Etsy who I had to finally delete, these are all Temu. I feel pretty stupid for getting caught up in my favourite flower that I didn't take a closer look. I'm not coming back. They don't respond to any negative reviews, only positive. Why not work for a positive solution or at least explain things?
