We could not be more pleased with our house. Jeneve Corp. custom built a house for us while we were out of the area and the entire experience, from start to finish, was exceptional. Once we had selected the basic floor plan, Jeneve Corp. worked with us to modify it to our needs. Steve Webby provided his recommendations based on years of experience and accommodated all our requests. No job was too big or too small, they worked diligently on them all. These included grading the lot to personal preference, adding a walk-out basement with high ceilings, installing a personalized tile medallion in the kitchen, expanding the garage, adding a front porch, installing built-in bookcases and one-of-a-kind China cabinet, customized interior painting, modifying lighting and electrical work, adding an extension to the driveway, unique tile work in the kitchen and bathrooms, and customized siding and roofing. From gorgeous hard wood floors to high ceilings and superb exterior design, the house is truly amazing and just what we wanted. Jeneve Corp. maintained active, continuous communication throughout the house-building progress, updating us on the progress and guiding us through all the decisions we had to make. We hired Mark to do a complete bathroom remodeling. Very early on, Mark committed to a timeline (4…read moreweeks) that he respected. He advised us where we could choose the bathroom features (Frank Webb), and tiles. We gave him the list, he ordered and picked up everything. Mark and his crew showed up on time for the demolition, and the schedule of the Tiles, electrician, plumber, painter, and inspector was all organized. He took care of everything. We only had to be around to answer some simple layout questions. We had a couple of minor bumps during the project (as expected), and Mark quickly found solutions and took care of them. Mark's crew is very competent and the quality of their work is impressive. Moreover, they are very polite and respectful, making the whole experience painless and pleasant. I recommend Mark's team, they are a bit more expensive but the quality of the work and the stress-free experience for a renovation is well worth it.

The construction cost was reasonable, and included all necessary subcontractor work and supplies. Moreover, we had no cost surprises and even some last minute changes were accommodated without any additional cost. The owner, Fiacra Fahy, was very accessible, did great work, and worked very hard with product vendors (such as the cabinet and countertop company) to keep the project on schedule. In addition, we had minimal disruption to the rest of our use of our home, as his workers put up dust shields around the kitchen and carefully cleaned up after every work day. A really nice aspect of Fahy Construction, is that Fiacra works with you at every step, suggesting possible improvements to your plan (we took his advice on multiple matters and he was right every time), and working hard to give you a perfect product in the end. If you have a home renovation project in the Boston area, this is a wonderful contractor. I recommend Fahy Construction without any reservations, and have recommended them to my friends for their construction work.

Where there was some rotted wood found underneath the old siding, it was replaced. Steve is absolutely meticulous, to the point of OCD. The job was be done perfectly, starting with a laser to mark level around the house, to special-ordering long siding panels to eliminate all the seams mere 12' panels leave. The complex work around the two walk-out bays and the power/meter took days, but everything was carefully measured and fitted . Steve also had some very creative suggestions, particularly trim above the front door and windows. This work, when done properly, takes both time and skill. Steve and Rick are neither the fastest nor the cheapest. If you want a slap-dash job by swarm of aliens, with one English-speaking supervisor, perhaps for a "flip," go with some big remodeler. It will be done quickly. However, f you want your house remodeled by a craftsman, who will pay close attention to all the details and work until he satisfies both you and himself, hire SEC.
