If any single serving of food could be branded the title 'war crime', this particular dive's fish and chips would see the owners taken directly to the Hague.
The peas were a grey colour and tasted largely of nothing, with maybe just a dash of dish water. The fish itself was not bad, but the batter was oily enough that America considered invading my meal. The outside of the batter was actually quite appealing, but the inside had the texture that the mushy peas should have had. The review guidelines instruct me to offer constructive criticism, so here is some: even tinned mushy peas would be better than what you are serving. Please change the peas.
I don't know if the ownership has recently changed, but for a nigh on £10 meal, this was preposterous.
After eating my meal, I was rather thirsty, so I went to a completely different shop to buy a drink as I didn't want to give even another penny to this place.
