The bookstore fills a studio with an assortment of thoughtfully displayed books and tasteful gifts. They have a cute kids section too. What a gem of a place to pick up a wonderful book for yourself or a special person! The owner was friendly and excited to offer book recommendations. They have a small curated stock but also take book orders for pick up. She mentioned since covid, there is sometimes a shipping delay. I appreciate how honest and upfront she was about orders. Street parking is metered but the small side streets are not.

Cute...honestly this was the first words that came out of my mouth the second I walked in!…read more This cute little book shop is located in Streetsville on a second floor of a very vintage old style house. There is a Tea Room on the first floor along with a couple other shops. There isn't a ton of books readily available but reasonable for the boutiqueness of it. I was looking for a particular book for my niece for Christmas and much to my dismay I was unable to locate it at any of the big box stores. So after doing a quick Google search I found this book boutique. I inquired via email to see if they had it and they were able to order it for me- no payment down might I add. Fantastic! I picked up my book (no extra charge!) And made a little girl very happy! From what I was told they've only been there since Sep 2017, and I certain hope they stick around! As a book lover, especially actual books not screens, 5/5!

I was horrified to hear the staff berating a woman who had her mask down in the store. The ignorant staffer asked if she had a virology degree and insisted that a cloth mask was mandatory even though the woman had put it back up. Even Fauci at this point has said cloth masks don't stop the spread of this virus. It's disturbing that staff can be belligerent to customers as mandates are about to be dropped literally tomorrow. Never will I shop here again.

There is a bald and short man who spends hours in Starbucks every evening until the store is closing. He often takes magazines and books from Indigo without paying. I was excited to visit the store before seeing an afternoon movie. When you first open the blue doors, the decor is pleasing to the eye. It's cozy. Naturally, there are plenty of Kobo readers. I held my composure and did not buy another to add to my mini collection of two. The cookbooks section is divine. One of my favourite restaurants that I frequented a ton in Winnipeg, earls, has its own cookbook. I want it so badly! I love this Indigo. It's now my favourite one. There are plenty of areas where you can sit down and read. I love the knitted mittens and scarves that you can buy. The paper shop section screams my name, as I have a thing for picking out the most thoughtful card that I can to friends and family members. It's such an inviting place to spend some time. Starbucks has been open for a while here. I like that the designers knocked a wall down, so you can freely walk between Indigo and Starbucks. I will need to come back and get the panda personal humidifier, simply because it's so stinking cute! (356)
