I had the pleasure of speaking with a Ms. Tina on Monday after having a bad appt. with H&R Block, I literally left that business feeling so confused and to be quite honest like my business didn't matter, nothing but officiousness when it comes to even a simple phone call w/H & R Block! Anywho Ms. Tina took the time to ask me a few questions and literally gave me reassurance their business would be happy to help me, as I'm self employed and that can be a daunting task to deal with. Upon entering their business I immediately knew this business was going to provide exceptional services, the front desk receptionist was equally as helpful and accommodating, and within 'an hours time' my taxes were done with efficiency and proficiency! * Everyone from the front desk receptionist, to the owner and her husband are absolutely professional, knowledgeable, sincerely kind/mindful God fearing business professionals that will get the job done with proficiency! Thank you Ms. Vicky for assisting me in every aspect!

The woman, guessing owner, was rude and passed me off to what seemed to be a new person who had to be walked through on how to do the taxes. It took them all but 5 minutes only for her to say I owe 1500. Did not even ask if i had any dependents, I have 2, or any medical expenses, which i also do. Long story short, she said i owed because my employer failed to do something in their end. So basically i owed taxes because if my employer and to take it up with them. Went to a couple places elsewhere just to make sure and got a nice refund and nothing owed. It was a simple w2. Trash place and had the audacity to ask me how do i want to pay.

If you want slow service and uninformed advice, these are your folks. I had to send them the…read morecurrent IRS regulations to show them what I was inquiring about regarding residential energy credits (federal tax credits). I had to show them that they were still in effect, as they told me they had expired. I had a LOT more questions about those but figured if they did not know they were in effect, they would be poor answers. I gave them my taxes, all totaled into a tax organizer, to complete in mid-February, and they submitted an "Extension to File Taxes" in April without telling me. Communication? Phone? Email? Since I have never sent my taxes in after April 15th, I was pretty upset. They explained that they only did this to folks that were getting a refund, but if you owed taxes, they got 'em done by April 15. After I complained, one of the lead guys told me that I likely did not want to claim some of the expenses I had, as it could flag the IRS. That would have been nice to know before April 15. Communication? Phone? Email? Guess what? When I omitted those expenses, I OWE the IRS over $400. And these folks charged me over $300 for this "service", no price breaks for bad customer service. Unknown if I will have to pay a penalty for late filing, too.... Find another firm, I am looking for a decent tax adviser/service again now.
