Favorite donut place in the world. I mean that quite literally too. This place has the tastiest and cutest donuts. Their iced lattes are so cute and yummy as well ! Every single time I'm visiting the Philippines, I make sure to always stop by this donut shop. The donuts here are just so unique.. in concept and flavor ! These donuts pack great flavor without being to sweet or heavy. Also, can you say picture worthy? I'm stepping up my Instagram game one donut at a time. This shop has a great location as well. Donut recommendations - Oreology and Green Tease. Pure delicious bliss. If you've never had JCO, you must !!!

Free glazzy donut with purchase of a drink!

How I've missed j.co donuts. My favorite whenever I am back in the PI. Tiramisu is definitely my favorite. I tried white velvet during this trip and that is on the top of my list now. The white cream is delicious! Baby pops are always good to get when you can't decide since there is a good variety in the box. I'm coming back before I go back to the states.

    Their names are hilarious!

BEST DONUTS EVER! e-VUURRRR!!! Coming from someone who is not crazy about donuts, I felt the need to post this right away. The box says they have locations in 4 or 5 East Asian cities. In Manila for a couple of days. Never heard of this place, that's because I don't look for donut places, but I a lot of my friends and family do, so recommendations come from them. How do I describe? - soft - fresh - not overly sweet - flavorful - not greasy - just plain fun! - Happy donuts. They're happy, they look happy. I forgot to take pic of the pricing, but I believe it was around 380 pesos for a dozen of the regular size, and 275 for two dozen minis. Counter lady suggested I do the combo and it costs 575 pesos. Took them back to hotel. It was hard to stop eating. Going back for more later today.

Someone once told me that J.CO was the healthiest donut option in Manila. And I had to try it myself being that the operative word was "healthy". Donut and healthy just doesn't fit well together but my friend is more of a health freak than I'll ever be so paid a visit to J.CO and braved the long lines that extended all the way to NLEX. By then, I had to know what the fuss was all about. So, I waited and waited and listened to what people were saying about this mystery donut. "Sabi ni XXX yung Why Nut daw yung masarap!" "Why nut?" "Why not! Hahaha" I rolled my eyes and stopped myself from leaving. And finally it was my turn. I had the Alcapone, the Why Nut, Oreology and the one with the caviar. Everything tasted great and while I couldn't really call them healthy, It beats the other bigger brand which has been making obese people in the US even more obese.

Frozen Yogurts topped with your choice of fruits or sweets wins over the Alcapone Doughnuts! Good deal too, a single serve with 1 choice of topping is priced at Php99.

If you ever travel to the Philippines and are a donut lover, you gotta try these. Their texture is…read moredifferent than your typical donut here in the US. The bread is light and airy and doesn't taste too oily. I feel like they put a bit more sugar in their yeast dough so the bread by itself is yummy. I've been traveling back and forth to the Philippines the last several years to visit my parents. Each time, this is one of the places I have to hit... Their donuts are yummy. The donut names have a fun twist to common Hollywood names. For example: Alcapone, Jacky Chunk, Avocado DiCaprio, Berry Spears, Blue Barrymore, Snow Ice, etc. I've tried all/most of them, but I forget all of them now. I'll list my favorites: Alcapone: It's a donut dipped in white chocolate and toasted almonds. Not too sweet and the toasted almonds give it a good balance. (4.5 stars) Caviar Chocolate: It's a donut dipped in hazelnut chocolate topped with chocolate crispies. The chocolate crispies are a fun texture. It's like biting into a donut Crunch bar. Caviar Strawberry: Same as Caviar Chocolate, except it's dipped in a strawberry white chocolate glaze. Yummers for the strawberry flavor lovers. The chocolate pairing makes it yummy yummy to the tummy! Mr Green Tea: Donut dipped in green tea chocolate with toasted almonds. If you like green tea, you'll like this one! I like getting the J. Pops because it's like bite size pieces. This is great if you want to sample different flavors without committing to all the calories. But damn...it's so dang hot in the Philippines and you'll probably do a lot of walking anyway, so "donut" let it bother you! #parumpum So try it, then message me to let me know how you like it. You're welcome...
