Wow ! What can we say about Forever After Funeral home .... These were the most amazing people we…read morehave met during this hard time. We just had my father in laws service here and they were amazing. We couldn't ask for more ! The owners son was outstanding. He made sure we were all taken care of. That young man is going to make a great owner in the future. Very respectful, listened to everything our family asked for. He constantly made sure we were all okay and didn't want for anything. We had last minute things to put together and he would take charge and put together the last minute things for us. This place makes you feel at home with their hospitality ( which is rare these days ). It's already hard burying a family member, but Forever After Funeral home made us feel at ease. Everyone cannot stop saying how beautiful his casket was designed and down to the flower arrangements. Even the driver who drove the limo to the cemetery was the sweetest , we followed behind them and with all this traffic he would call us to make sure we were okay and keeping up with them. We again appreciate everyone who played a role in my father in laws service. If we could give this place more than 5 stars we would !!!! Xoxo , many blessings to the family of Forever After Funeral Home !

Personally I have used their services twice and both times was treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. Gloria goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. She makes herself available the minute you meet her. She treats you like family. When my aunt passed I went to Gloria and requested services. I explained it was my first time and needed guidance. She stepped right in and told me what needed to be done made suggestions and everything went smoothly and my aunt looked like an angel. I reviewed condolences and complements. Shortly afterward my mother got sick and I knew I would need Gloria's help again. I went to her and again she greeted me warmly and we were able to set everything up. She told me to call her at anytime and not to worry. When the time came around 11:00 pm I made the call. I was expecting to leave a message but to my surprise she answered and remembered me. I was relieved and grateful. Again everything was beautiful and went smoothly. I speak about my experience from time to time and always send people to Porta Coeli. Thank you Gloria for your valuable assistance and most of all for your kindness. God bless you.

What started as an awkward query on the price of a funeral for my mom who just passed the evening…read morebefore, turned into an experience I never imagined would be so seamless to get through. I never wanted a viewing because you want to remember your loved ones as they were, but once I saw mom after her passing, I had to allow others to see her one last time. Ralph Cerasuolo, funeral director, invited us into their office and sat us down and asked what was it that we were looking to do. From there, the conversation slowly evolved from pricing a funeral to hobbies and travel and Italy. Ralph made it easy to do what I needed to get done for Mami. While Ralph complied a price list, he let us browse through a prayer book catalog and I was so happy to find Mami's favorite patron saint as one of the selections. It's not a common saint to find and I found Him here at Riverdale Funeral Home. Preparing for this day, a few months ago, I started a photo slideshow project of Mami's life and I wanted to bring a projector with my iPad to the viewing. I was so happy to learn that it wouldn't be needed as Riverdale Funeral Home provides a large flatscreen TV with plenty of HDMI plugs for use with devices to display photos and memories. I was also contemplating in bringing bottled water for visitors but had no time to get a case. No worries again. When I arrived for Mami's viewing, there were plenty of carafes of water throughout the room alongside cone paper cups. Another stress reliever that they supplied these simple amenities. On the day of her viewing, Mami looked absolutely beautiful. One of my worst fears all my life was to see her on a day like this and have that last memory of her not looking like herself but she looked like she was sleeping, completely rested. She had her costume jewelry on, just as she did in life and looked like she was just waiting to head to one of her parties. My heart was filled with so much happiness. I cannot thank Ralph enough for his knowledge and in being the one to assist us with Mami's arrangements. James Winkle, their office manager supervised Mami's visit and he is a dear to engage with as well. The funeral home itself has a very cozy feel with warmth when you walk in. One truly feels they are with family through the process. Riverdale Funeral Home made this sad loss of ours a beautiful memory we will always remember. Thank you for this. We needed the monument (headstone and foot stone) installed for the one year anniversary, but it took forever for my sister and I to agree on the language, so we put off the order. I ended up checking with four monument companies in the spring and chose Pulver-Huess, in part because we had seen their work on the grave next to Mom's and thought it was very well done. They were also significantly less expensive than at least one of the other options. Roger was very patient as my sister and I worked out the most minute of details. It's a family-owned business (can't remember if Roger said he is the third generation and his son is the fourth or whether he is the fourth and his son is the fifth). Either way, you get the point. The office is in a house just across the street from Mount Hope and it is definitely not a fancy place. (In fact, if my sister had seen the place, I guarantee that she would have wanted us to buy the monument from someplace fancier.) And I don't think they even have a website. But the bottom line is that Pulver-Heuss made a difficult situation as pleasant as possible, and the headstone and footstone look gorgeous.
