What a shop! I love this place. It sells lots of truly beautiful hand made Irish gifts and decorative pieces like jewellery, candle holders, rosary beads and souvenirs all made with beautiful Connemara marble, which the Walsh family have worked with for three generations! Their quarry at Lissoughter in the Connermara mountains first opened in the 19th century. In 1903, King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra visited it during the Royal Tour of Connemara.
The marble is crafted and finished in the family's workshop at the back of the shop using traditional and modern tools. They really do create some stunning, beautiful Irish inspired unique gifts! read more
