We had a great relationship with the previous owner until it was bought out by Rocking RD Cattle Co. My family's farm took a steer and a pig for processing. So many issues. MuletipleThey didn't check the beef prior to pick up so when I got everything home - I noticed all my beef fat was missing (who knows what else). I called multiple times while I got the run around and finally was told "it must have been thrown out". Mind you, I specifically told them on the purchase sheet that I wanted all the fat from these animals. These are grass fed and finished steers so I take my beef fat seriously for my family. I never even received a genuine apology. The lard was thrown in food grade trash bags that were wide open due to how much fat they loaded into them. I have never experienced that from any processors in the past. I'm disappointed. I thought I finally found a processor that I could stay with while I grow my farm. read more

We had a couple of hogs processed here in April on recommendation of some friends and the Henderson County agent. They charged more than Double what every other processor around quoted for the same services, including one we have used for another pig a couple of months before. The return we got seemed very low to me based on the weight of the hogs going in, but they wouldn't give me the cut sheet with the weights on it. I didn't have a scale to weigh the boxes, but I suspect some of the meat I paid dearly for went into their front counter sales cooler. The sausage we got was bland, more like ground pork than sausage, and the cuts of chops, etc, are poor. I have spoken with others who had similar issues with beef processing, including being shorted product and given ridiculous excuses of why their return was so low. Very disappointed with the processing that was done for me this time around. There is NO DOUBT that meat was missing. A full grown animal does not yield you only one rump roast or less than six inches of filet mignon. Two thirds of the yield was turned into ground beef when I specifically asked them to reduce the ground beef as much as possible to yield any other product, (specifically stew meat). The ground beef was left too lean, they made the ground beef into 80/20 when 70/30 was requested. I can't wrap my head around paying for "custom butchering" when they end up doing it their way in the end. I've always been happy with their work in the past but this time around they dropped the ball and after being contacted made no effort to make things right. Sadly, I will never take any animal there to be processed again, and will stop recommending them to anyone I know. read more

We took a full size steer and lost over 50% from hanging to packaging, basically they took some of our meat. We raise cattle and they acted like we had no idea what we're doing. We're pretty sure some of the cuts didn't come from our cow, most of the steaks were undersized for what we're used to. There's several better options around, we'll never be back to this place. Just read the reviews, everyone has the same experience here unless you're a friend of them. read more

Had a deer processed and was given back a box of approximately 15lbs of meat. This was a very large doe that was just as big as one of the bucks in their drop off cooler. Both shoulders and hindquarters were fully intact as the doe was shot in the spine. There's no plausible excuse for being that short on a mature whitetail doe. read more

Horrible meat processing facility. Brought in a 2 year old boar and was told he didn't have any belly fat for bacon. What?!?! I wanted fresh cuts with just ground pork but the pork smells like herbs which means they used dirty equipment. All meat cuts were excessively bloody and over outside of the packaging. Never using them again. read more

First if there was an option for zero stars that is what I would have chosen. We carried 4 big steers there a little over a year ago. I have debated whether I wanted to even bother with a review or not. First, we in no way got the amount of meat we should have gotten out of 4 steers. We just had 2 more processed at another place and got more meat out of those 2 than we did out of the 4 we carried here. And even if we did get what we were supposed to have gotten, most of it was inedible. Not sure what they did to the hamburger, but you couldn't use it for burgers. They turned out so tough you couldn't eat them. It was edible if you used it for things like tacos or casseroles, but I had to brown it and put in food processor to even get it to break up. Ended up using it for dog food. The steaks weren't even good either. We have questioned whether the meat we got back was from the steers we took them. We also asked for all the fat back, because my daughter using it to make soap, only got 4 small bags back. All and all would not recommend this facility. Very expensive lesson on our part. read more

If there was a 0 star option, that's what I would pick. Took 4 head of steers to be processed. Got there & the meat wasn't even frozen solid, the boxes were wet. Some cuts weren't even labeled, & the boxes definitely weren't labeled. I asked for pre packaged hamburger patties & didn't receive any. There were 9 different families for this order to go to & not one was correct. Meat was suppose to hang 10 days, yet somehow it took 21 days to get my order. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Took a young calf to be butchered. He was 554 lbs off the trailer. I know the return is significantly less than live weight but I got less than 200 lbs of meat back. No ribs and no liver were in the packages. I had requested all bones for dog bones got none. Called to see if maybe a box got left behind and was basically told we don't always get what we want. I'll never use them again and would not recommend others to use them. read more
