I did some research on the company and saw that they often engage in door to door selling, which is fine but I am not interested in doing that so I called the office to ask so that I could save both the company and myself some time if that's what they expected me to do. I will note there was no mention of door to door sales on the job description. I called and asked if any part of the training process or the job itself required door to door sales and the woman on the phone assured me that they did not engage in cold calling or door to door sales, now feeling much better about the situation I decided to go. Now to be fair they were very clear about their expectations in the actual interview, which to my dismay included door to door sales. While I respect the clarity in the interview I didn't appreciate being mislead into showing up. I asked very clearly on the phone and they did not answer honestly, perhaps they thought they could convince me. I anticipate that their response will be that they do not employ the door to door sales method because they instead go to clients off a preferred client list. However, this is clearly semantic difference and they most likely knew what I meant on the phone. I understand that door to door sales doesn't sound attractive on a job description but I believe it's better to be as honest and as up front as possible. The job search process can be very time consuming so I really don't think it's fair to be unclear with potential candidates.

She then hears nothing until 11:45pm on 4/15 when Joseph Samar calls to tell her that Vince's business would not be handling her taxes and hung up. The Lindenwold PD does an excellent job with the resources it has available, in my honest opinion. They certainly DO have their hands full with some of the "bad actors" who live in the apartment complexes along Gibbsboro Rd. I've talked to some of the LPD officers who used to LIVE in some of the apartments years ago and they always say they USED to be nice and safe, now not so much, so I know it bothers them when they have to deal with SOME (not ALL) of the renters there. Aside from that, they patrol the neighborhoods reasonably well, for those of us in the residential areas. They also have a "Camera Registry" for people like me who own home security cameras to partner with them to help minimize crime and help them catch potential & confirmed thieves. They call it: Lindenwold Police Department Citizen's Electronic Eye Program or C.E.E. Program. If we can help each other stop crime, that benefits everyone...WIN-WIN! The LPD also has a "Designated Safe Zone" at the Police HQ for local folks to meet who are buying & selling items online from places like Facebook Marketplace. The fact that our town isn't constantly in the news for crimes like Philly or other places is a testament to the good job that the officers are doing.
