I have done remodeling at other homes we have owned, and I have never found a contractor who is so…read morereliable, trustworthy, and communicative! I interviewed several companies for our complete backyard remodel, and it was apparent from the beginning that Sean was the best. He came up with a creative design for our backyard that provided more privacy; an entertainment space with a bar, tv, fire pit; and an outdoor kitchen. He asks questions to understand what your needs are and how you envision yourself using your yard to come up with a 3-D rendering of your ideal space. Sean has an eye for design and thinks of the big picture and the small details. We had to wait several months for the crew to start, but in my mind that was a good sign that Envirogreen was well sought after. They were worth the wait! Envirogreen has their own crews, instead of a bunch of subcontractors. Their crew, led by Abraham, was punctual, reliable, and hardworking. They showed up 5-6 days a week and worked long days until our project was complete. This kind of work ethic and reliability is so rare these days. Sean communicated with us throughout the entire process and his insights allowed us to make some decisions to improve the original plan as needed (i.e.- installed one bigger propane tank to serve our smoker, grill, fire pit, and indoor stove instead of added another smaller one). Envirogreen does good quality work, and we are very happy with the results! When we are ready to have work done on our front yard, we will be calling Envirogreen again!

I cannot find enough superlatives to describe Envirogreen Landscaping and Sean. We came across his…read morebeautiful designs on his website and immediately got in touch. From the moment we met him, we knew he was going to be the contractor we chose for a full landscape design and implementation from a straight dirt lot. He was the only contractor that arrived on time, came prepared to work, listened to all four of the decision makers for our house, and suggested solutions to resolve all concerns. We hired him to design the landscape which he did on a 3D software that gave us a real feel for what it would look like in real life - honestly, do not hire a designer if they dont provide a 3D drawing. The design was impeccable, every detail was so well thought out and he included features that really showed he was listening to every word we said. We made a few minor changes and he returned the updated designs promptly and exactly as promised. After we all approved the designs, he got his team out to do the install and that was really impressive to watch. His team that ramped up to 10 people was on time every morning and all left after a full days work. Sean's timeframe was spot on, and after he was completed, we were so excited about our new, beautiful landscape. What was once a pile of dirt became a masterpiece, and Sean was our Picasso. That's not all though, I always wait to review until after an issue has been dealt with. We have had a nagging problem with our valves failing causing excess water near the valve box. Sean sent guys immediately that day to resolve the issue by changing the valves. It happened again and Sean realized it was not the valves, but the water pressure, so the day after that he sent out a plumber who did the work on the spot, no questions ask and no additional cost. So it's easy to see why our family has been so impressed with Sean, from his kindness and sincerity at the beginning, to his incredible design talent, to his great installation team, and most importantly his willingness to resolve issues after they are found. We highly recommend Sean to all our friends and family and suggest you considering him as well. We have the best yard in the city now all thanks to him!

Joey came out to do the quote and was quick, efficient, and explained what to expect. I received the estimate later that same day as promised and the price was fair. When I approved the quote we talked about color options, and he recommended the "Native" color. I wanted something neutral but with a little character in a herringbone pattern, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. He also mentioned darker tones tend to hold up better in the Arizona heat since lighter colors fade faster. The only hiccup was the scheduling process. They require a deposit before scheduling, which made me a little hesitant. I was told I'd get a call later that day to set the install date, but it took a couple follow-up calls before we actually got it confirmed. The office staff was always very polite and helpful though. On install day, I had given instructions on where materials could be placed since I live in a townhouse complex, but the pavers ended up being left in the grass overnight instead. Luckily everything was fine. I later found out the superintendent originally assigned to my project got sick, so another team member stepped in and didn't have all the details from our earlier conversations, which probably explains the communication mix-up. That said, once the work started the crew moved quickly and finished within the expected timeframe (about three days). The final result looks great and I'm very happy with the finished project.

Poor communication and project management; still incomplete after 3+ months…read more We hired CitiScapes for a travertine paver and turf installation. The crew's craftsmanship on the travertine was genuinely good, but everything around project management and communication fell short. Owner Kendall repeatedly gave us specific dates and times for work to happen, which were then missed without proactive updates -- we had to chase him for status on nearly every phase. Demo also ran long, and the crew failed to clear debris from our driveway in time for Easter; we ended up using Facebook Marketplace to get people to haul away leftover materials ourselves. The turf installation has been the most disappointing part. For what we paid for a premium product, the seams are visibly poor. It took five weeks just to get a crew out to attempt a repair, and that attempt made the seam lines worse. We now have a tentative date for another repair, but given the pattern of missed commitments, we're not confident it will be honored. At one point we went over a month without any contact from them - until they called asking for payment, and we had to push back to get anyone out to the site. The project started before Easter. It's now nearly August, and it's still not finished. If clear communication and reliable follow-through matter to you, I'd be cautious about pursuing CitiScapes.

We had an idea of what we wanted and Nestor made recommendations without upselling us. We had the unappealing desert landscape replaced with grass, easy to care for plants, new rock and pavers. We were so happy we had them come back and remove the same type stuff from around our pool and install pavers. Pricing was within our budget, and Nestor's team was respectful of our property. Each day they cleaned up before they left. While this may not be important to some, I appreciated that the entire team wore company shirts each day. We would recommend Nestor and Sophora Landscaping and Design for all your landscaping improvements!! Shannon, who works in their office, is very helpful!

When we first reached out to Danny and explained that we wanted to redo our entire front and back yard, he came over and spent at least an hour or two over two or three visits and helped us plan out our vision for our yard. We were quoted a very fair price and the work started the next week exactly as promised. Throughout the project Danny and Willy's communications with us went above and beyond anything I've come to expect from "service companies" these days. It seems like most companies overpromise and underdeliver. But Danny and Willy delivered exactly as promised and more to be honest. They were constantly checking in and making sure we were happy with the progress, and anytime we highlighted an issue (which only happened once and was very minor) or something we wanted to change, Danny and Willy were eager to make the changes and make us happy. You can tell Danny and Willy take great pride in what they do and that is so refreshing. I was a loyal customer for two years. I sent business his way. I was more understanding than most…read morewould have been with his flakiness. I was quoted one price but always charged significantly more depending on which way the wind blew, so to speak. He would always, without fail, cancel/reschedule on me at least once. Then when he did show up he was always very late. I would call him to fix a standard bubbler leak, I can say standard cause I normally do them myself, and he would show up without the stuff to fix the leak and have to come back. This happened repeatedly and was extremely frustrating. He was a nice guy and spoke English so in lieu of going back on the hunt for another landscaper, I reluctantly put up with it. Until tonight. Today I had a regular maintenance. I had 1 very small leak fixed, in which I supplied the parts because he did not have anything with him again. He tried to get $60 more than my quoted price again. I did not have that much cash so he took $40 more than my set price. Which was more than fair given the leak was in the spaghetti line and took 5 minutes and he used my materials. He decided to text me tonight saying he needs to charge me more for my regular maintenance. More??? I was already routinely paying significantly more than I was quoted. He says he charges $100 an hour and can't survive by charging me $160 for my maintenance (keep in mind I was quoted $120 for my maintenance). He was here for 1 hour today and I paid $160 (he wanted $180). If he supposedly charges $100 hour then I have been getting taken advantage of for years and sounds like he owes me money. Let me also say that my yard is standard track home size. I have one tree which I pay a separate arborist to trim. So, as you can imagine, I was livid that he had the audacity to send me this text. Especially, given all I have put up with from him. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. My neighbor had already fired him. I felt bad but after his poor choice to text me asking for more money tonight I now know it is time to go back on the hunt for a new landscaper. There are constantly people on social media complaining about their landscaper and on the lookout for a reliable one. I just don't understand why it is so hard to find a good and reliable help these days. I should start a landscaping business. To be hugely successful all I would need to do is show up, be there when I say I will and do a decent job.
