Over the last two years he has completed a variety of jobs for me from changing out the overhead kitchen light system, replacing the 35 year old front storm door, painting over the entrance door from a dull weathered brown look to a beautiful red, repairing several drywall cracks and just recently replaced a 40 year old 4-burner cook-top range. Shane was referred to me from my realtor. He came out and provided an estimate for the work that needed to be done and I agreed that his estimate was worth the work involved. when it came time for the work to be done, two of the three ceiling fans that I purchased did not work according to Shane, I then contacted the sellers was able to obtain a replacement for one and parts for the second one which would take over 12 weeks to arrive Shane then charged me an additional $150 to come back and address those issues along with finishing the items from the original quote which he claims were included. The screen door that he replaced, the screening is not tight and I'm also unable to lock the screen door as previously could. One of the two fans that didn't work actually had no problem at all. He read the directions incorrectly and the fan worked the entire time but he just wasn't 100% sure. he did however, offer $75 off that fan and since I had flooring put in, I asked him to go ahead and reseat the toilet that the flooring company would not do. That became a whole issue as he was unable to reseat it properly and claimed it was the flooring company or some other issue. The toilet was perfectly seated and fine prior and I was present for the removal, which was quite normal with no additional issues. I quite honestly feel that this man who is extremely nice, just does not have the professional capabilities to provide the services that he claims he is able to do . I I ended up actually fixing quite a few things that he had done incorrectly. My lesson in this, I actually can do quite a few things and I don't need to pay anybody for it. Lesson learned and buyer beware!
