Stock is limited, prices are higher than other supermarkets and it generally makes for a cramped shopping experience. I grab and go. As fast as I can. On the plus side, staff couldn't be nicer and the asian food section is very reasonable. But avoid the sad, poorly fruit section!

Got all we needed for fair prices…read more We've been staying at the Loch Awe at a pretty remote Hotel. We came to Inveraray for a quick visit a needed some groceries for dinner. So we went into Londis here to have a look. It was quite a (positive) surprise to find everything we needed. Veggies, milk, cream, pasta, chicken breast and more. Not just that. You might expect it to have a bit higher prices than your average chain. But no, prices were really fair and not far away from the big chains. Quality of the products are good too. So, it is a good place to stock up your fridge if you're in town (or around).

You can also buy various drinks, newspapers, magazines, maps, even coal for your open fire! There's a useful petrol filling station immediately outside too. The lady who served me was very pleasant and friendly so I'll be back for more supplies next time I'm in that area!

You probably don't remember me because it was a quick stop and I didn't have a real look around but now I realise just how wonderful you are after my second visit. Can we be friends? Seriously, Eurasia is no quick stop. It's a corner shop but it's certainly no ordinary one. It's a funky one! With an eclectic and extensive selection of herbs, spices and other foodie bits and bobs. Truth be told, I'll need to have another browse because there's a lot on offer. I absolutely love the Indian theme of the shop. It's got all the essentials you need from a corner shop alongside many Indian delicatessen style items. I left with some handmade Mithai (Really tasty stuff, kind of like an Indian take on tablet!) and a box of Jalebi. (Oh, wow! There are no words! Run to your nearest Jalebi vendor! I mean it!) Now, in all honesty, I don't think there's anywhere else in Stirling you can find such delicious unique treats. So for that reason I think I'll be in Eurasia a whole lot more. Anywhere with Mango Lassi in their fridge is a hit for me! And in Central Stirling, it's not even that farther than walking to my own! Hooray for the local corner shop!

It's exactly as you'd expect from a newsagent, stocking papers, mags, sweets, drinks and fags. There's also a few Scottish bits and bobs for sale, but it doesn't appear to be the main focus. It's a very small shop, so there's not a huge amount of choice, but the friendly atmosphere keeps their noses in front of the rest.

It has won many awards over the years and is a fantastic place to shop if you can't be bothered with the big supermarkets. It was renovated a few years ago and now has a food to go section which is great. The shop is always clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful, most tend to be locals. They are a Paypoint store which means it is the place to go if you have prepayment meters - gas, electric, or need to pay bills. As a Spar they offer great deals on everyday food stuff but sometimes the deals are so good you have to be very quick to get them.

I nipped along the Tesco Express just a few doors along but they had sold out. Oh dear. Not really sure what to do I decided to give this little store a try. As soon as I popped in the door I was greeted by a box of red, ripe, juicy tomatoes, phew! I bought around 4 and they came to about 80p, what a bargain! The woman working that day was really helpful and chatted to me as she was bagging my tomatoes so I decided to share my tomato based disaster with her. Thank goodness Value Convenient Store saved the day!

Being located close to the health centre and closest to the Lamond Drive area of town, Spar has a very good selection of goods for good prices, and best of all, it rarely has queues. Service is good and quick. Unfortunately its selection cannot meet that of nearby Morrisons, and its prices not that of nearby Aldi, but for a small all-round supermarket, Spar is just right!

Even the car park is VAST and there is always a space to park my car, and it is never always that full, it is much roomier than compared to Greenock's Store. Even if the item are not on the shelf, you can be able to ask at the customer service desk, to order for one, and they will reserve it for you. Even you can be able to do online shopping from this store, and I cannot fault this store at all. It is brilliant store.

Everything from tins and jars, bread and baked goods, newspapers and magazines and beer and wine can be found here. There's even a reasonable selection of fresh and frozen food, as well as a few hot items (think hot dogs etc). Of course, being a convenience store, they're not the cheapest place to shop. On the other hand they are, you know, convenient. They're also not totally extortionate and they do run various offers so you can still find a good deal from time to time. The staff are friendly and chatty and the store is easy to get around. I never have any trouble finding what I'm looking for.
