Each main dish comes with house salad on the side. You can tell that this restaurant is for local family gathering. They are famous for their pork shoulder dish. We ordered their homemade soups (Horseradish creamy soup and garlic & chive soup - very creative recipe only found at this place :) also ordered spaetzle (Germany egg noodles) with deep fried onions on the top is very interesting dish (one of food must try when visiting Germany. Overall the food and dinning experience was memorable!!!!

I'm not a huge seafood eater and this was delicious. My husband and our friend both got a fried pork they couldn't stop raving about and my friends husband got Sauerbraten. Highly recommend a nice German beer with it. They do have a weekly beer feature. Also this is an independent restaurant, which means they are not tied to a specific brewery, they pick their beers weekly/monthly and that makes for a great offering of quality local beer. Their other dishes are equally delicious, if you don't like pork should I always recommend checking out some of their daily specials. On my last visit I have beef roulades, which are beef rolls willed with bacon, onions and pickles. They are also served with gravy and a potato dumpling. Make sure to call for reservations, this place is extremely popular with locals. Chances of getting a table on a walk in basis are slim to none.

I'm not sure if they really speak much English- we tried to speak only in German and they treated us like locals, conversing all in German with us. Got a Rotbier as well. Unfortunately, the spätzle arrived lukewarm, which disappointed me. Looking back, it would've been wiser to have ordered the Franconian dishes on the menu instead. Nevertheless, the beer was pretty good, the ambiance was pleasant, and prices were well-affordable. There's also a beautiful Biergarten right outside, which had a small Christmas market going on when I visited. Would like to return someday to try more of its selection. Let's hope!

The sausages and sauerkraut were packed with flavor. I couldn't stop eating until every bite was gone. The pork shoulder was just as memorable: tender meat that fell off the bone, with a crispy edge I couldn't get enough of. The dumpling was delicious, too. Both dishes paired wonderfully with a beer, shocking, I know! Also, the table service mustard which is so yum!! I'll be dreaming about that pork shoulder for a long time.

The bratwurst was delicious: savory and flavorful. It had a slight char on the outside, and juicy inside. The roll was just as good. The crust was crisp and and inside was soft and pillowy. I especially liked eating it with sauerkraut which balances out the balance out the grease and heaviness of the bratwurst. There's also service was slow as we learned throughout our trip. It's just the norm so don't expect any quick service. Overall, we enjoyed our food very much and would love to go back to try out other items on their menu if we ever end up in Nuremberg in the future.
