During the cruise, there is entertainment such live music and dance performances. When I went, the buffet offered a variety of Filipino dishes, including pancit, vegetable Kare Kare and Filipino bbq. There were also several Filipino desserts and complimentary juice, while other drinks such as soda could purchased for an additional fee. While I appreciated the variety of food, I found the flavors to be fairly mild. More than the food, it was the atmosphere and experience that made this cruise memorable. I really enjoyed the scenic river ride and seeing all the lush greenery and tropical vegetation. I also liked the live entertainment. The local music and traditional dance performances were impressive and fun to watch. Some of us tourists even joined in the fun Filipino Tinikling dance. Overall, the Loboc Riverwatch Floating Restaurant was definitely an hour well spent. The relaxing river ride, the scenic views and live music and dance performances combined created a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The food is cooked fresh. You actually pick your seafood before it is cooked, especially the squid and the crab. Nothing feels rushed, and it shows once the plates hit the table. The fried squid was worth waiting for. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and not greasy. You can tell it was fresh and cooked to order. The crab was the same story: sweet meat, well-seasoned, and not drowned in sauce. We also ordered pancit bihon, scallops with garlic, pork BBQ skewers, and a small cup of rice. The pancit bihon was flavorful and not dry. The scallops were soft and garlicky without being overpowering. The pork BBQ skewers had that classic smoky sweetness and were nicely charred. Service is straightforward and the vibe is casual. This is not fast food. If you come hungry and in a rush, you will get frustrated. If you come expecting fresh, cooked-on-the-spot Filipino food, you will leave happy. This is the kind of place you go to slow down, eat well, and enjoy food that is made properly. Enjoy time with family and talk; it's nice to enjoy your time while waiting for the food.

Sarimanok - Chicken Adobo

In the small town of Loboc, Sarimanok Inn & Resto is the only restaurant in town where you can…read moredine-in for a meal. It was recommended by the staff at the resort we were staying in. Once we arrived for a late lunch we were the only ones there. The menu had classic Filipino dishes, and when we attempted to order a few items, the server kept saying they ran out of that item or that one. They had ran out of so many different items, that at a certain point we just asked what they did have and ordered from that. We ended up with Chicken Adobo, Pancit Canton, and Pork with Eggplant and a Mango Shake. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. And since we were sitting on the upper level that looks out to the street, our server mentioned to press a button on the wall there, that would alert for her to come up. Kind of a cool and speedy concept. More importantly, the food was good! Of the dishes I enjoyed the Pork with Eggplant, as the meat was tender and nicely sauteed with the eggplant and other veggies in an oyster sauce. The portion was also a lot, so was great for sharing. Pancit Canton was also good, with the veggies and pork throughout the egg noodles. I also liked that the sauce was on the lighter side. The Chicken Adobo wasn't bad, but wasn't my favorite. The chicken pieces were mostly wings, so didn't have as much meat as we thought when ordering. Adobo sauce was good with the roasted peppers, but wished the chicken pieces were from a whole chicken instead of wings. Overall, food was good and glad to have gone outside of our resort for a meal in Loboc. Sarimanok Inn & Resto is also accessible, making it easy to get to, as it's right off a major highway. They also have free, fast wifi here, which is a huge plus in Loboc. If you're in town and looking for a dine-in experience with full service then Sarimanok Inn & Resto is your answer.

Went on this river cruise at the recommendation of our driver when we arrived in bohol from cebu…read more They had 2 menus one with more seafood items and one (100 pesos cheaper) with limited to nonseafood items. Depending on what you order u get seated on a boat at the dock. They had about 6 boats operating when we were there. You can start eating when u get on board. All the food (buffet) style is in the middle and you just walk around the table getting as much food as you want. Just be careful, they dont have multiple plates, u only get 1 food plate and 1 soup plate. So dont make too much of a mess. The food was ok, typical filipino foods. When we fiest got on less than 1/5 of the table was full but they waited about 20 min until all the tables were full before they set sail. The boat ride was enjoyable seeing the beutiful river banks with the wind in your hair. the only thing was the tables were so close to each other we were climbing over each other. Also, the singer on the boat was really loud. Granted he was singing his heart out and putting himself in the songs but dude he wasent good at all. He seemed nice, but dude please done be so loud. It was like sand paper to the ears!!! After about a 15-20 min ride you walk around a native village, be aware!!! Taking pictures cost money. Its nore or less a tourist trap. Only about 100 pesos tho... after 5 min its another 15-20 min boat ride back and thats the end of the meal and boat ride. Overall it was enjoyable. Food was good. The ride was an experience. The singer dude kept us entertained. The views were delightful. Theres another company that does something similar too and would love to teycthem out as well.
