So I guess this place is trying to piggy-back on a real Apple store with the look and shirts but their attitude and prices turned me off. I went in looking to replace the screen on a 3G iPhone and was quoted $189 ( paid less than $90 in Victoria including taxes) and get this, if you would like a screen protector put on your iPhone they charge $25 to do this task. Pfft to this place. Found Mikes Place in Fairmont and my screen installed w/tax was less than $60. read more

Service nearly as good as Apple themselves. Same price points as apple with same education discounts. Offer recycling for old equipment with credit. Sell other extras that Apple doesn't carry themselves. Only quibble is sometimes staff isn't as knowledgeable on topics and just guesses on answers. read more

Over the course of the last couple months I've been in and out of iWorld, and I've left frustrated every time. Due to the staff's seemingly limited knowledge, and or disinterest in helping, I've decided to order online. My bad experience revolves around trying to custom order a laptop, but getting prices for different variations was like pulling teeth. I spent my whole undergraduate degree selling computers and whether iWorld obtains their stock directly from apple or from a distributor, getting prices should not be difficult in the least, so I'm assuming they just didn't want to go through the trouble of looking it up. I'm not one to complain, and this is the first review I've ever written for anything, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Not impressed at all. I am an avid MAC user and currently own 2 Mac Mini's, an iMac, an iPad, iPad Mini, Apple TV and an iPhone. My wife picked up my first Mac Mini for me just over a year ago. The system was a little slow for what I need to do with it so I decided to upgrade the RAM in the system to 8 GB. My wife went back to the store to purchase the RAM as a birthday present for me and was told that they can't sell the RAM to her unless she was going to have the RAM installed in-store. When I heard this I was floored - I jumped my car and went to the store myself. They had no issue selling me the RAM. Today, after purchasing a 2nd MAC Mini, which was going to be for home use, I realized that I should have upgraded this one as well. I went to the Lethbridge store to purchase another 2 RAM modules and was told that I get a price on the 4 GB and 8 GB modules but they could only sell them to me if I was having them installed in-store. REALLY?! Here's a suggestion - if you're going to have products on display in the showroom they should be for sale to anyone that walks in the door. If your company policy is to only sell RAM if it's going to be installed by your "Certified Technicians" (which in today's world is just a bunch of BS - it took me a total of 3 minutes to install the new RAM when I got home, which I purchased at Staples) and the Mini is running awesome. If you are going to force people to have installation done in-store then maybe you should have FREE installation, you're already charging close to 3 times as much for the RAM. Avid Mac user for life that will never darken the door of this chain ever again. read more

Their sales people may be nice and friendly, but forget about getting any service done to your iProduct any time soon. I was in to get a warranty iPhone 5 battery replacement on the 14th. Was told they were fully booked for the current month and that they were not taking appointments for the following month for another week. Instead I asked for Apple phone number and will arrange to have it mailed in and back for service - I will have my phone back in working order before iWorld will even make an appointment for me. My advice to iWorld, if you are that busy hire less sales people and more technicians. My advice to everyone else, avoid IWorld until they do so. To me if a business can not support the products they sell in a timely manner - they should not be selling them. read more

Poor time quote, way over priced for replacements! I took my MacBook Pro in for a diagnostics because the battery was draining super fast and wanted to check to see if it was more than just batter related. They told me it would take two days, but when I called three days later they hadn't looked at mine yet. Finally, got it back after 6 days of originally bringing it in (which I could have been fine with if they have quoted me a week to begin with). Was told it was just my battery (which is fine) but they quoted $240 to replace the battery. Any where else I take it to replace the battery (best buy, normal apple store, independent stores) I was looking at $140 max. read more

i took my mother into iWorld to purchase a screen protector and have it installed. The gentleman was happy to help us out and then as we were getting ready to pay, explained that there was a fee to put the screen protector on and it was just about the same price as the piece of plastic they were putting on. My mother then agree to pay the price and then he told us that we would have to come back another day to get it installed. needless to say we got a refund and right outside the doors of the iWorld is a kiosk that sells cell phone cases and screen protectors. The nice man charged my mother $10.50 for the protector and free to install. so if you are in the mall and need a screen protector and don't want to spend tons of money, just stop right outside their front doors and get the kiosk to put it on. that was my first dealings with iworld and now my second one. I called and spoke with a gentleman on the phone regarding my iMac and explained the concerns i have with it. I asked him simple questions about cost of replacing a part. all this guy would say is bring it in and we will asses the issue. i know what the issue is and spoke to apple care on the phone. he refused to even give me a ball park of how much it would cost. he was rude and didn't really want to talk to me. hauling a 27" iMac around and driving 50km's for him to "assess" the issue. he didn't care to listen that i was already on the phone with apple care and such. all he said was price is based off model of the computer and couldn't be bothered to give me information over the phone. so my 2 times dealing with iWorld were not good and frankly i will chooses to waste my gas and drive to Calgary to the Apple Store and make sure to get courteous and caring people. in my opinion if the person answering the phone seems annoyed the moment he picks up the phone and just rushes to get you off the line. what kind of person is working on my iMac? is he going to rush and do a half assed job and cut corners? read more

I came in for education on the Garage band app on my iPad. It was very informative and got me going on recording and using the various sounds available. I also bought a IMac desktop and had no problem... they seemed well informed when I went there. read more
