The care of the patient the smell and cleanliness the staff needs to start caring for the patient…read moreand stop ignoring them the management needs to do better

i have no idea whats going on in this place, but it needs help. i went there to visit a loved one…read moreand as soon as i walked into the building it smelled old, rank, mildewed and out right dirty. The bed my loved one was assigned was not adequate for anyone to sleep on. There was one bathroom that was shared between her, her roommate and the adjoining room patients. So, two persons to a room with one bathroom = four person to one toilet and the toilet wouldn't flush and needed someone to pour buckets of water in it after each use in order for the waste to be flushed away. The food looked dry and old, there was no shower in the room, i had to bath my love one myself while i was there visiting, I truly understand the under - staffing issue due to no funds. I believe this assisted living center is mostley occupied by the poor, those who receive medicaid or some sort of medicare. That's no excuse to give improper care of lack of. Every employee there recieves a paycheck for a service, whether big or small. do the job you were hired to do and do it to the best of your ability and if you have no idea what to do , MANAGEMENT is the ISSUE.. People, we all have to get old one day, or may end up sick and have to depend on this type of service to provide us or a loved one decent, safe and a caring environment., how would you want to be treated and cared for?

What a wonderful job they had done with my mother while she was there the staff were kind and on…read morepoint my mother enjoyed her stay and the staff

Good and bad. Caregivers who tend to your loved one in their room do a very good job and are…read morecompassionate and professional with both the patient and the family. That's the good. The food situation is very unfortunate...not good by any stretch of the imagination and not enough to keep weight on a young child, much less an adult that is trying to get stronger. The staff shortage at the administrative level is causing a critical problem in that having only one social worker for everyone in the entire facility makes it literally impossible for them to do their job adequately. Communication is seldom and poor...and if you do get a meeting to plan the care of your loved one, there is a strong likelihood your plans will not happen. Same in the business office...only one person and very inexperienced. When my uncle was moved out of covid quarantine to a regular room...12 pairs of socks, never ever worn...were lost. They have his name written in full on the bottom of all of them, but never actually worn. They cost $31.59 before tax. The nurses searched the old room, and the supervisor on duty that day took a report of it. I've left countless phone messages and have asked in person every time I've gone in...same answer...the refund comes from the social worker. I think that is the catch all answer to everything. I'm not getting any answers, and of course, no refund as I was promised. I have since moved my uncle to assisted living facility elsewhere. I would appreciate the money for the socks.
