The first person they sent the first time my son ever had care was a self medicating diabetic who came to the job with low sugar and passed out. Paramedics had to be called. When I called them to say what happened they said they didn't even have emergency contacts for her on file. It took over a year for them to find another person who could come one day a week after school. I specified any day. But they never had anyone. When they did, she was great. After 2 months she said she couldn't come anymore. Another year goes by and they finally find someone. At this pointu sin was too thin due to ARFID issues. I explained to her we needed to get weight on him. I was taking a college class and when I would get home he'd be asleep and exhausted. Next day he said his legs and arms hurt. The next week I set up a nanny cam since I wouldn't be home. She was having my son do planks and other calisthenics!!!! She did t even ask if this was okay. I had her removed fromu son's care. Another year goes by and I finally find a friend of the family. So she jumos through their hoops for bothering process. Took her a month of CPR class. Orientation, etc none of which was paid. Then she starts watching son, I sign the timecards and 2 months later she has NEVER been paid!?? We have been back and forth and they keep giving excuses as to why they haven't paid her, trying to blame her and the regional center saying things I was able to prove as untrue. This is probably what happened to the other great lady that suddenly couldn't come. We kept calling and every week for 6 weeks we were told she'd be paid and then wasn't. So now she won't want my son because she hasn't been paid. This company is a joke! I don't even want to give 1 star. Shame on them for not paying their care providers.

Horrible horrible care organization. I'm very disappointed with the level of service provided by…read morethis home care agency. Over a 10-week period, they sent 9 or 10 different aides, making it impossible to establish consistency or trust--something critically important when caring for a loved one with dementia. Many times aides would call out at the last minute. Many of the aides were not properly trained to handle dementia-related behaviors and often seemed unprepared or uninformed about the patient's condition. One aide who was onsite for 3 weeks, finally decided to take some initiative (only when a complaint was filed with the organization) and then had one rough day with my mom who has dementia and then gave up entirely saying she couldn't "take the stress". Several lacked initiative entirely--some spent their time sitting on the couch rather than engaging or assisting with care. This lack of attentiveness and professionalism was deeply concerning. This caused me as mom's daughter to do things on my own for my mom and then this was cited as an excuse for them - "that you get frustrated and then do things on your own". Despite having full knowledge of our location and the fact that we have four cats (disclosed from the outset), the agency later cited "distance" and "pet presence" as reasons for their staffing issues. This feels like an excuse rather than a valid explanation, especially since they had all this information from day one and should have noted at the beginning that our location was not ideal for their service area. Instead of taking responsibility or working toward a real solution, the agency repeatedly pointed to false or inconsistent reasons for their inability to provide reliable service. The result was a stressful and frustrating experience during a time when stability and compassionate care were most needed. I would absolutely not recommend this agency to families seeking consistent, qualified, and compassionate home care - especially if you have a family member that requires special care.

The staff in the memory care unit are all very friendly. Some of the standouts in friendliness and in taking an interest in my mom are Nick, Susie, Ariehanna, Marco (nurse) and Brittney (nurse). There was some frustration awhile back with my mom not getting her med orders from her doctor's office as Oakmont nurse fax was not working. This was eventually resolved when Ben intervened. Jhoana, director of nursing has also been very responsive. In dining in the Assisted Living dining room, the service could be improved in terms of servers checking back with the table to see how we are faring, and also asking if we would like drink refills. Isabella, a newer employee has been amazing though and goes above and beyond in these areas. She is definitely a stand out. Amy, the Memory Care Activities coordinator, has been great at trying to get my mom to come to activities. At times I have had a hard time connecting with activities department as I only have an email and it takes time to get a response back. I have wished there was another way to connect with them quickly other than email. Maria, the Director has been responsive and helpful when we have had concerns or provided feedback here and there. Edgar, Oakmont transporter, is very kind to my mom and responsive. Last but not least, the front desk ladies, Lexi and Maddy have been great! I love that they always greet me by name and are helpful with a multitude of things. I will mention one of the challenges of memory care is that there are different levels of impairment in the clients. My mom is higher functioning and I do wish there were more activities that she could join the assisted living residents in. This would require staff support and planning for her to go to some of those activities but I do think she would appreciate being with some higher functioning residents. She complains a lot about feeling lonely, as many of the other residents in memory care are not able to interact with her.

I used to genuinely love coming here, especially before the change in management, Maria RCC, and staff. I always enjoyed visiting her during brunch, and my favorite memory was Mother's Day brunch last year. The staff were amazing, welcoming, and friendly, and it truly felt like a warm, caring environment. Even now, when we visit in the mornings, the staff continue to be amazing -- attentive, kind, and genuinely caring toward the residents. Unfortunately, my most recent evening visit was heartbreaking and very disappointing. When I arrived, I walked in on staff being rough with my grandma while changing her brief. They were rude, did not acknowledge me, and didn't even say hello. Seeing my grandma treated that way was upsetting, uncomfortable, and deeply concerning. Later that evening, I took my grandma to the evening movie around 6:00 pm. No one was there, so I walked around to see if someone could turn the movie on for the residents. I saw and heard three staff members along with Maria RCC sitting in the RCC room eating and laughing. When I asked if someone could please turn on the movie, it took about 10 minutes for anyone to come out and do so. It was discouraging to see residents waiting while staff appeared unbothered. I am relieved that my grandma will be moving to a facility closer to my mom, but it truly breaks my heart to see how much this place has changed. There are clear issues with professionalism and resident care, particularly during the evening hours. I hope these concerns are taken seriously so no other family has to witness their loved one being treated this way.
