The cost of the chainsaw was €370 (down from €390!). On returning home I was informed by a friend that he had purchased the chainsaw in question (Proplus 20'') very recently for somewhere in the region of €200. I didn't believe him 'til I checked around. The exact same chainsaw is available from one outlet in Cork for €194 and was advertised in Heiton Buckley on 17 May for €169. I should also mention that I received the chainsaw without a box, instructions or the extra tools and safety equipment which should come with it. I contacted Ivors and after numerous efforts finally got to speak to the owner. He was both arrogant and dismissive - he shouted at me that I was paying for the spare parts which he keeps in stock as he was the sole dealer and he had other customers to deal with, bye bye. Of course I since discovered that most dealers carry spare parts. A case of buyer beware I suppose!

After submitting a scooter the first time for some minor repairs and service when i collected later that day they informed me they had forgotten to do the service. Perhaps i should have learnt a lesson but needing some more repairs and exhaust replacement i put it in again. About a week i was advised. 1 week passed no exhaust. 2 weeks. Several phone calls from me. Estimated 120 euro plus about 50 on top. Six weeks later and after hearing excuse after excuse. Had to come from uk. Then dublin. Dependent on courier. Couldnt guarantee when courier would load. Sob story about wrong exhaust ordered. Asked for call back for updates but no phone calls ever made to me. I had to call every time. Seven times at least. Totally unacceptable. Spoke with owner Ivor. No help or courtesy. Main lady on phone explained she was sick for several weeks. Nobody else could do her job. I explained its not too hard for SOMEBODY to pick up phone. I should have been wary when i heard a jet ski had been kept with no repair for nearly six months. Final result. After demanding scooter to be repaired or removed by 5 pm later that day. Scooter was delivered next day. Work was completed at a cost of 320 euro. Exhaust is noisy - in fairness maybe its my older 04 model. However - let the buyer beware. Sorry Ivors. Your service sucks and i will be removing the ivor new licence plate you kindly put on the bike. Moto pit stop Ranelagh. You have always set a professional standard and excellence. Use others at your peril and great inconvienence.

Got a tyre there. Put the wheel on crookedly. Also got a battery which packed in after 11 months…read moreand he wouldn't stand over it. He had the neck to tell me the markers on the swinging arm were wrong. My advice is keep clear of him and go to a proper bike shop
