The staff are constantly apologizing for him "he's our medical director" "he's the doctor" meanwhile he will barge in while you are naked and completely BOTCH TREATMENTS, multiple times. Come here if you want to waste time and money having a beauty treatment ruined by a sloppy, negligent, unprofessional and bumbling man while the female team around him follow his absurd directives in rote lockstep and are unable to finish your treatment because Brian Stolley is so clueless and sloppy. Do not come here if you are seeking competence. Brian Stolley forced me to lie naked on the treatment table with just a small paper towel sized mat covering me while he haphazardly lasered parts of my body that had nothing to do with my treatment area. When I protested because I was uncomfortable with him being in the room while I was naked, he cancelled my treatment and said he was just going to test laser settings on all these different parts of my body. He will pretend to see things or not see things on your skin to gaslight you when you notice his erratic carelessness. The staff pretend they do this "for your safety." This place is a joke. If MediSpa Maui truly cared about safety or consent, they could simply hire competent practitioners who are diligent, skilled, well-trained and good at their jobs. You don't need some idiot "medical director" barging in pretending to oversee treatment of naked women to ensure medical safety. Hire competent staff and trust them to do their jobs. I consulted with Dr Yu regarding my ab…read moremuscles had separated which is called "Diastasis Recti" and an abdominal hernia which was causing distention. My research showed this correction is usually done by a Plastic Surgeon. I saw Dr. Yu and he informed me he had preformed this surgery many times and was confident he would be able to take on my care. Mind you I had insurance and could have seen another surgeon but I had great confidence in Dr. Yu and a great deal of concern knowing this is a cut hip to hip incision, the scaring etc. I opted to pay over 13K for his personal care. I came out of surgery and it was the worst. I could not take 2 steps without assistance for weeks which turned to months. After my dressing was taken off in his office, the terror my soul endured is forever scarring. I was told this happens, not to worry and to put this prescribed cream on it. I thought this cream would heal the area, sadly this was only the beginning. I was not informed I would end up with a hole that literally held 3-4 (4x4 gauzes deep) This is called debridement, Dr Yu had to continue weekly to cut deeper and wider to reach healthy tissue, then stuffed with gauze and cream. Hence, My surgery was in early December with known knowledge I was moving off Island end of February 2023. My move I had to delay until end of March. I had a injury to my shoulder and had experienced really bad medical care (5 surgeries) and was now on a mission to reach UCLA on the mainland for proper medical care to a very damaged shoulder. Another reason I went private with Dr. Yu and signed my rights away in addition to over 13K. I had great fear to say the least and wanted to be sure I had the best of the best. Upon my departure to the mainland I was concerned, upset, frustrated, in pain, sad and my spirit finally broke. Dr Yu had ordered me that cream from his distributor to take with me considering I am now going to have to seek follow up care on the mainland at my expense. I said my good byes and was asked for another 40.00 to pay for the cream after spending hundreds on the purchasing of gauze, tape, and the cream weekly and rides to his office as I could not drive. Upon arrival of the Mainland I was immediately put on a "Wound Vac" I was attached to this 24/7 and weekly appts at the hospital. That gigantic hole took another 6 weeks under constant care and medical technology. In my opinion I should have never been home on my own with a gigantic hole shoving gauze into it. YES, this was over 20K and I am the lucky one whom is paying for it. Second* The incision is horrific and I hate to even see myself in a mirror, I have spent several hundreds on scarring sheets, gels, creams you name it. I am still almost a year in complete sadness and reminders of this horrible event. I finally got the courage to write to Dr. Yu asking for my 13K plus returned to me so I could use it against another 16K to fix this nightmare. I was given my quote by the plastic surgeon on the mainland whom took my case and is willing to fix this mess 16K. I felt this was fair and would be the right thing to do. This 13K has turned into a financial nightmare pushing my total medical costs to more than 30K and if I want to get this corrected I need another 16K. Dr Yu did call me back and we did in fact have a nice conversation and the end result is Dr. Yu would be willing to operate on me again to correct this mess. I would pay for all other costs associated with the medical procedure. I believe it is around 8K I would need to pay. I would need airfare, someone to look after my care, a place to stay and a vehicle and airfare to get back to the mainland. Last, My medical records read "Tummy Tuck" when I received them but hey my hernia and abs got repaired I HOPE! Reality I will forever look this way. I do not have the money for another correction either by Dr. Yu or the surgeon here. Lesson: Do not do a procedure you cannot afford if something goes wrong and you must be able to trust the person whom severely scarred you to make that same incision and try again on you. An okay job on the 2nd, and on the 3rd visit, it was terrible! I wrote an excellent review for him after the 1st visit. What happened is that Dr. Phan was clearly in a big hurry. He was either pressed for time to catch a plane or maybe he had to meet someone? I don't know, but I wish he had been honest as I would have been fine to reschedule if he was running late for something... Instead, he injected the botox faster than a speeding bullet. It was as if someone turned on a video tape of the injections to high speed: Up down up down up down, boom, boom, boom, boom...Super FAST! I knew I was in trouble because no doctor that I've gone to has EVER injected that quickly. And sure enough, I was left with large black and blue bruises on left and right side of my forehead that STILL have not gone away after a month! and now I'm worried if they WILL finally go away. To make things worse, I wanted to try crowsfeet for the first time and when he went to inject on my left side of eye I could feel the fluid drip down my face. I thought to myself, WTF was that? The result was predictable: I paid for crowsfeet and there was absolutely NO improvement whatsoever. I emailed Amber and sent photos. She was very kind at first and said, "That's unacceptable!...I'll talk to the doctor..." And then no email, no call back. I then made a proposal to Amber and Dr. Phan that given what happened to my forehead that looks like I smashed my head against the windshield of my car, and given that there was no improvement on crowsfeet, I would like a refund to my credit card for what I paid for the crowsfeet, and we'll call it a day because I will not return to Dr. Phan after he injected my forehead like a carpenter with a nail gun. But I never heard back. So let me repeat: Dr. Phan did a great job the 1st visit, but beware if you return and if he's in a big hurry! Imagine if he was pressed for time and doing a facelift on you! I told Amber, thank gosh he didn't do my lips that day! I'm sorry to have to post this because Dr. Phan seems like a very nice doctor but I was greatly disappointed in the way he treated me that day by racing through those injections and then he knew I would not have any results for crowsfeet area and charged me anyways.

I was surprised that my appointment would be on a weekend but Dr Herbich only visits Maui on certain days so it is probably more convenient for most of his patients. I have had botox injections for the past few years in my mandibular jaw muscle to stop TMJ and to stop me clenching my teeth as I'm cracking my back molars with the force. Botox has been a fantastic solution to this problem. Dr Herbich was very aware of this procedure, knew exactly where to inject the botox and he was very quick in administering it so it was pain free. I have very complex care needs, including early menopause, HRT, vulvodynia, lichen, and several other chronic health conditions. She has worked so hard to get me as comfortable and the conditions as managed as possible. I am only 38 years old, so these conditions have major impacts on my quality of life, and her care is an indispensable part of my treatment. She also takes great care to ensure adequate pain management happens for procedures. I never realized that this level of care and attention to my pain was even to be expected in these situations, but I now know and won't settle for anything less. Now, a shout-out to the front desk staff. They all know my name, say hello, and get back to me if I leave a message. They all work very hard.
