If she doesn't care, she should go to Hollywood and be an actress because she is that good. My friend referred me to Jamie back in August of 2018 (fun introduction..staph infection in an embarrassing place from a coral on vacation) and I have seen her ever since then. She gives a safe and judgement free zone that allows honest conversation between provider and patient. If you need a medical provider like Jamie, go see her. She even works a few Saturdays a month. Thanks for the shots and antibiotics, Jamie! You are the best.

I believe he was around 5 years old. This year his pediatrician retired so we switched offices and started seeing Dr. Fesmire. We have loved pediatrics east. They always listen to and address my concerns and voice any concerns they have. Years ago my son was seen by doctors that did not exhibit this level of care. They would simply tell me what to do without listening to the fact I had been doing those things for a very long time. My son is very small for his age. He has just recently started to sprout. The staff at pediatrics east has always listened to me. They believe that the parents really know their children and will ask questions if there are concerns. I love this. My infant daughter is now in their care. Dr. Fesmire checks my children over thoroughly and compliments me when we speak about little things like changing my baby's baby wash due to eczema. It really makes you feel better as a parent to be told you are doing things right. The love they have for the children and the respect they show the parents really makes pediatrics east a true blessing.

They are always courteous, cheerful and helpful. Blake has been wonderful in helping us all with our different issues. He is so very caring and truly wants to help heal. His approach with us has been to tackle our issues as naturally as possible. Lifestyle changes along with certain medications for a "season" to get us back on track. We nor he wants to see us on a pill if we don't have to be. Blake is so easy to talk to. I have met very few with such a great bedside manner.

This is the worst experience we've had in Oxford…read more They did not want to take care of my child's shots. They claimed they screwed up a prior visit when they pricked my child's fingers for blood. They stated that in order to give her the age appropriate shots she had to get her fingers pricked all over again eve though they did that painful process a month ago! All she needed were shots! They stated she had to do the whole process over again just to get her shots. The nurse dismissed the facts and common sense. To top it off she insulted my intelligence by coming up with several excuses which held no ground. Additionally, as minuscule as it may sound; on a separate visit, I advised the ladies at the counter they had a tick crawling around the waiting room floor as there were a few children in the room. They replied, "oooh, that's gross", and did absolutely nothing about it. Yeah, they didnt seem to care that day. Time to change providers.

We interviewed her before our first child was born and immediately felt comfortable with her gentle and considerate nature. She works a reduced, pre-retirement schedule, but we decided to continue seeing her until she retires then trust her recommendation for another doctor at the clinic. This location has a selection of physicians, but you can request to set up appointments with specific ones. Since there are a good number of doctors, scheduling and rescheduling appointments is very convenient; you can even schedule on the day of if needed. For those sudden sicknesses, they have a sick waiting room and also a well patient waiting room for check-ups. We also love the convenient online check-in that can be completed from home. If completed before arrival, you can just quickly check in with the receptionist then head to the waiting room -- no refilling out papers every visit! All the office staff and nurses that we have met have been very helpful and friendly, and the nurses are super fast with shots! If you blink, you'll miss them!

We have loved having him as primary care for our son. He is so attentive and never makes me feel rushed. In those early months he always told me that I was doing a good job- which is so vital to hear as a new mom! He is always gentle and kind and we love seeing him. We also love Dr. Joel in a pinch where we can't see Hanson. The only negative experience we have had has been with Dr. Miller. I know a lot of people see her and love her doctoring style, but it definitely does not work for our family. The first time we saw her, I tried to explain that my son was in a lot of pain at nighttime and waking up frequently. She told me that he just needed "tough love" and to let him cry. I eventually figured out on my own that it was constipation- but it's frustrating to tell a doctor that your child is in pain and feel ignored. She is also not as gentle as the other doctors and every time we have seen her my son has cried in discomfort when she checks his ears, which never happens with the other doctors. But I think some people like her "no-nonsense" vibe and she seems to work for some families, but is just too harsh for my taste.

Over the years, I have had up and down experiences with Laurelwood. Here are my pros and cons: PROS: Friendly staff Great nurses Docs come highly recommended CONS: Our doctor is lovely but I feel like she's given me very limited options over the years to treat my sons autism and severe ADHD. Talking to other mothers, I felt like there were other options but when I brought them up, she always suggested staying the route. She referred us to a psychiatrist once but that was not a good experience. I once asked her if we could consult with another doctor in the practice because I had seen several articles he and others had written about his expertise with autistic kids. She took offense to my question and said she was the "autism expert" at Laurelwood. I did not like that and considered it to be very unprofessional. If your child is well and has no disabilities, I could see why you think this practice is perfect. However, if your child is sick on a regular basis or has disabilities, I would suggest finding a pediatrician who is open to trying everything possible to help your child.
