After the MRI was done and it was read, the next step was not surgery yet, thankfully. Instead, it was to do a cortisone shot to see if that helps. So I was not aware that was going to happen at that appointment. We talked long term goals and what was happening, and what I could and should do, and what I should not do. Once that was all laid out, it came time to do the shot. The nurse came in wih a tray and the stuff and left. The doctor came back and had me sit on the table. Well, my phobia kicked in, and I was in a panic. Thankful the doctor was able to step out and get a nurse, and she was able to help. Let's say there were tears, but we did it, and my shoulder feels so much better. Now I am getting close to the windows were is fading and I can already feel it again. So, next time, I think there is something different that we are going to do. If that does not work, then something that is back on the table is surgery. Dr. Hankins is super nice and cares about each patient and wants the best for them, and there are activities that they want to do and participate in.

He was very thorough during his exam, listened very careful to my history, took xrays and came up with a plan for treatment. He told me from the get go with my issues there was no snap of the finger cure but he could make the symptoms I had better. He did way more than that, because of my damaged disc's I'll deal with back issues probably the rest of my life but as of right now I can run, bend, pick my kids up and continue on with my life with no pain and I've only been seeing him for a few months. I was standing in front of the check in window as the check in lady told me she will be with me. She was browsing to some of her desk paper works. I patiently waited until after 4 minutes she asked my name to check me in. She told me she will reschedule my appointment as I was 10 mins late. I POINTED HER THE COMPUTER SCREEN BEHIND HER AND ON THE SCREEN 7:09 AM. he did not check me in when I came to her. she went and spoked with the doctor twice and came back asking paper works that no instructions or nothing mentioned when they called me in for my appointment. No emails, no mails for any paper works. Dr Daniel Miller came out and swinging his hands in the air looked at me and said " i will work you in but you have to wait as im still trying to start my computer " he pointed his fingers to me and said fill out those Paperworks. I was humiliated as a person and a professional, disrespected from the staff and from the podiatrist did not treat me right, lied about their service and trying to rescheduled me due to the fact they were not the one not ready to see patients as other staffs still walking in, lobby lights still off. Lights by the receptionist desks are on. I decided to leave as II will not put my health under the hands of people who will talk down to their clients.

I was familiar with "The Joint" in Columbia area as I had visited a location just to see their operations for a USC friend ( Go Gamecocks) ... just had to put that in...) Since I am familiar with Chiropractor therapy due to my back, I was sure that an area that has caused me problems in the past was the culprit. I had been driving most of the day and I guess that sitting in my car in an awkward position caused some poor spinal posture. I did not know they had a location in Lexington area, and was actually heading back into Columbia on I-20 when I found this location. Since no appointments are necessary, and after a short wait I was examined and I had manipulation of the area, which immediately started alleviating the pain and muscle tightness. It was enough to get me back on the road, as most people know that one visit usually is not enough to settle your musculoskeletal area. I immediately called my Chiropractor at home for an appointment... I found this Joint very responsive to my concerns and very Professional since I did not know them. Very modern decor, friendly staff and certified.
