My husband had the goulash and I had the schnitzel. Both of us had a Stiegl, which is mandatory when you visit Austria. We ate our food outside. The waiter was pleasant, no nonsense, but I never expect fake cheerfulness from Germans and Austrians that we Americans are accustomed to. Although this restaurant is off the beaten path (turn down the alley at the umbrella sign off the main street) it is well worth the venture to find it.

They had tables both in doors and out doors we decided to eat outdoors since it was a beautiful day. My husband and I shared the Austrian Goulash and the Wiener Schnitzel on lunch menu. The lunch menu offers the same dishes that are on the dinner menu for a great price! The lunch portions are smaller but was definitely enough for myself and my husband. Both dishes were delicious!

Nice apartment and the location is an easy walk to train. Items left by previous travelers (dirty…read morecrumpled towels in rooms)was proof the cleaning crew was not detailed oriented, but if these items had not been found in cabinets I would have thought it was very clean. Washer was extremely convenient to use. Clarity on the "living room" would be nice. More of a kitchen with a dining area, no comfortable couch or chairs that you expect in a living room area. Despite proximity to train the rooms were all very quite. Overall, good experience.

Christmas Day, 2017 and the place is packed! Does this effect the quality of grub and service? No,…read moreSir! Both seriously rocked!!!! We knew what we wanted to order before going in, so it was just a matter of them being opened or not, so we called and sure enough, they were all hands on deck! The Pork Knuckle is perfect! Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. D-lish!!!!!! The vibe is righteous, and the wait staff on point. Your choice of a Deutsch or English menu and if you're indeed an English speaking person, most of the staff accommodate just fine. Interestingly enough, we sat next to a small Russian family and the English menu was better for them than the Deutsch menu. A bit pricey yes, but you do indeed get what you pay for! If you want some bomb ass authentic Austrian/German grub, give em' a go! You'll be glad you did.

Excellent hotel Excellent restaurant…read more RARELY do I ever eat at a hotel but this was an exception. I was tired from traveling and did not want to get in the car to find somewhere in the dark to eat. I am so happy that I did. The food was absolutely amazing! This was one of the few strudels that I actually liked as well. There was no rush and we were able to enjoy ourselves, the food and drinks. The front desk staff (young lady) was extremely helpful and seemed to be doing the work of 5 people. When we got to our room we discovered that it was only set up for one guest and she immediately left the desk and came to assist setting it up. Quickly learned that it really does take a village to put a duvet in a duvet cover :-) The room was perfect, clean, quiet. The bathroom shower had hot water and great water pressure. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was included and was fine for us to tide us over and send us off on our journey. Thank you to the great staff and chef.
