I had no intention of buying candy during my visit to Town Square Las Vegas, but I popped into the storefront to ask for directions to the restroom and the kindly employee helped me so I returned afterwards. It's about $16/lb for bulk candy but they offered a really wide variety (at least 20 + kinds!) of Swedish candy so I was happy to pack a bag. There were more sour varieties than sweet but my daughter and I had fun picking through and choosing our favorites. I have been coming to this location since it opened many years ago. It's basically right under the movie theater at Town Square. This place is so great! It's not super big, but you have at least 3 different sort of pick and fill areas. One area had chocolate stuff, another had things that were a little harder, like little jaw breakers, and the third was gummy stuff. This store is soooo colorful with all of the different candies and boxes of candies. I always go for the sour strawberry belts. I also got some cherry gummy bears, pineapple gummy bears, and those giant jawbreakers on a stick and spent about $14. There's plenty of options to choose from, and I think the rate at the time was a little over $3 per pound in the normal baggies. If you did the takeout box looking things, those were $17 for the filled box. The staff was very nice! We were greeted right away even though there was a good number of people in the store since it's Black Friday. They walked around with some free samples and were quick to help me find what I was looking for when they could tell I was looking for something specific. I've always had such a great experience at this location. Definitely come in and check it out, especially if you will be watching a movie ;) read more

*Located in Town Square next to Velocity Esports This place is awesome!!! Expensive, but awesome!!! My kids were amazed by everything. They kept pointing and laughing at all the unique things they saw. I probably heard "mommy lookit" about 20 times. I love the actual candy merchandise they have. It took everything in me to not buy this gigantic Oreo pillow. They also had this "snacks around the world" box that was really tempting me as well. And of course, they have lots and lots of candy. They have tons of packaged candy. Some of the items I haven't seen in years. They also have bins of candy so you can customize your own bag. Gummies are my jam, so I loved that they had all different kinds of flavors of gummy bears to choose from. The grapefruit flavor was epic. Both my kids got to make their own bags of candy and picked what they wanted. Like I said earlier, it's a bit pricey. We spent $15ish on 3 small bags of candy. I wouldn't make this a regular stop during our Town Square visits, but it was definitely a nice little treat for my kids. It's a cute store that will definitely give you a serotonin boost. My grandson loves it here! It's a little overpriced but we spend hours at the free water park so I splurge. Gummie everything! Games, bins of bag your own, it's a kids dream! What can I say, I'm a sucker for sweet treats! See what I did there? Lol. I mainly come here when the kids earn special treats. They love the bulk candy items. They go around and collect little bits of sweets they like and get a variety of treats for $3-5 a bag. Not terrible. But we woukdn't do this on a regular basis. My favorite part of this store is the funny stuff they sell. It cracks me up and makes for fun gifts for friends. The friends you don't worry about offending, because some of the humorous items are offensive. Offensive but awesome! All I can say is this spot is a kids dream come true! Very fun store and a little bit of something for everyone. I still have qualms about these since I saw kids at a particular location grabbing candy out of the barrels with bare hands and eating it in the store. Parents were witnessing their own children do this and some of the adults were participating in it as well. This was a very depressing sight to see and also not sanitary. Since then I try not to get candy from these unless they are from crank machines that don't allow teaching in. Otherwise the staff was super friendly. I think more employee control of the customers and watchful eyes could make these stores more reassuring. Gloves are provided but not sure if each and every kid dons gloves or not. I've gotta hand it to them: it's pretty genius to place a candy store right next door to a movie theater. Placement alone gets them tons of business, I'm sure. Decent selection here of prepackaged, foreign, and name-brand candies. And for those of us who don't love candy, they do have some novelty items. It's not the huge one in Universal Walk, but it will do just fine (big enough). No gimmicks here, just candy (and other candy themed items) for the candy lover. I have to admit, I got a little excited when I saw the sign in the middle of Town Square. Bulk candy (3 circular stations) at $2.99 for 1/4 pound and $11.96 for a full pound- chocolates. Separate gummi bear station- many different colors and flavors. Jellybeans (against the back wall- my brother-in-law's favorite BTW) are priced at $3.25 for 1/4 pound and $12.99 for a full pound. Candy themed tees were on sale at $11 or $7. Large Hershey Kiss pillows (silver- original) and Huge Hershey Syrup (coin banks?) were the biggest cute candy-themed items here. I even spotted a Hello Kitty section (for all the asian girls out there, myself included, thank you very much). The novelties included the cute list pads (hey, they could come in handy for the list-maker, yup I'm there), pez dispensers (hello kitty & my melody), metal lunch boxes, wonka candies, candy bras (something you usually see in an adult book store, huh?), bug candy (lollipops with scorpians- gross!), bacon shaped candy (saw that on one of the cable channels recently- supposed to be the rage right now). I saw three people working there, one at the cashier counter, another one restocking, and another one on the way out the door (shift ended maybe?). It's bright (white interior mostly), fun (it's candy, c'mon now), and generally clean inside. Nice set-up inside. It didn't feel cramped even with several other customers besides us. There are two flat-screen tvs and the music sounds good (nice marketing huh?). We didn't buy anything, because we had just eaten at Texas De Brazil (mmm, good eats folks) last night and after some walking around Town Square, had some frozen yogurt at Yogurtland (taro & coconut are the best BTW). Oh yeah, a final note- the location- next to the Rave Theater- is a good one, too. Tip: get your candy here before you head into the theater. read more

They should rename this place "Big Candy." Like "Big Tobacco" or "Big Oil," but without the dreadful connotations. Nothing but unicorns and rainbows and puffy, pink thoughts - much like the pre-bagged cotton candy they sell - are allowed here. Do you need to buy Rice Krispies by the square foot? Maybe for some kind of incredibly fabulous elven magic theme party featuring an all-RKT dance floor? You'll find those right at the front of the store. (And you have to invite me to the party if you use that idea, deal?) The idea here is "lots and lots," stirring Wonkatastic feelings (the soundtrack to Burton's effort plays in the background) but without the danger of falling into the pure chocolate river. They do sell a gummy worm you can drape around your neck, though. Veruca Salt never had one of *those*. It's not all about size; It'Sugar has variety nailed. Gummy this, gummy that, gummy penguins? Sour powders on tap. Vintage faves. Modern faves. Chocolate-covered (name a nut... or raisin). Novelty candy. Candy-branded merchandise. And of course they have sparkly Baby-Ts to proclaim how sweet *you* are, too. (Or go to the other extreme and check out their sugar-free products.) Four stars for location and selection. Every time I stick my head in, I see something I missed before. Minus one star because I never end up buying anything. What's up with that? My husband and I visited It'Sugar twice while honeymooning to have sugary treats in our room while in Vegas, and we had so much fun choosing what to fill our baggies with from the "a la carte" candy stations. My favorite section is the bacon shrine - bacon flavored everything, and other bacon scented products, like air fresheners and candles. My husband liked the cooler that is filled with rare and unique beverages. It'Sugar also boasts many diabetes inducing 10-15 lb. candy bars, which if we had not been traveling in such extreme temperatures, would make sweet and easy gifts at Christmas time. This store is full of novelty candy items and lots of cool "reaction" gifts. It's a testament to packaging, really. Low stars because of the dirty trick with the giant candy boxes. Because that's all they are really, is a giant BOX. A cereal-sized box of Nerds or Starburst? Dream come true, right? They sell them for $13 a box or 2 for $20. Problem is, when you open the box you find a bag of candy that sells in the grocery store for $3. The bag is literally 1/3 the size of the box it comes in. Great business model for a one-time trick on tourists, not so great for encouraging repeat customers. And I'd guess Town Square isn't exactly a tourist destination. read more

Ugh I both love and hate these kind of serve yourself, sold by weight candy shops. My sweet tooth always beats out my brain and eyes, and my wallet and tummy are what suffers. I love how the gummy bears are sorted by flavor, and they have flavors I have never seen like peach and blue raspberry. it'sugar also has giant candy (gummy bear and peanut butter cups), a wall with tons of flavors of jelly bellies, shirts and other novelty items. I went in thinking I would just get a couple dollars worth of candy and ended up leaving with almost a pound of sour treats and gummy bears. On the way to the Yardhouse, Andy T and I became little kids pointing at the candy stores colorful colors and tasty looking delights. Damn you it'sugar. They have a variety of by the pound, various packaged candies and cute accessories (shirts, bags, funny items like joke notepads). Two things I've never seen elsewhere though: fill it yourself powder candy. ( I love pixies stix, so this is pretty cool to me) and giant sized gummi bears (I couldnt imagine chewing through something that big and gummi though). I got some various flavors of gummi bears and some sixlets, a childhood favorite. Andy went a bit more crazy and got a bag of sour belts and sour gummis and another bag of chocolate gummi bears. Noms. Bears were soft. Chocolate gummi bears are really good here- I have to go back for these. Sour stuff is puckery good. Sixlets is always a smile. Service comes with little funny quips. After dining at Yard House with my cousin guys notice It'Sugar (the oversize candy) had walk in plus right across YH. I not candy person but this place has all the candy you ever need plus sell other collectible things from Hello Kitty stuff, Nerds towels and tshirts, and sure something stood out Star Wars coffee cups that one cousin saw on the Big Bang Theory (he got two of them), Ted talking doll from the movie. The oversize candy the thing that makes this candy store stand out from the rest. Not just one thing goes from Nerds, Snickers, Reece Pieces, Twisters, and on and on.
