The woman working was cold and rude. Sometimes even if unable to provide the necessary request a little common decency goes a long way. Hire nicer people! However the employees at the Mexican restaurant across the street were very kind and allowed us to use their restroom.

I have called corporate 4 times and left 3 voicemails with my phone number and emails on their corporate contact us website and still no reply from upper management on how they need to handle weather emergencies better in the future. This is exactly what I emailed them I have tried calling several times and left voicemails with no call back so I'm hoping an email will get through. Let me start by saying we normally love the store in Ithaca and stop there often for gas, jerky and snacks. However the night of Sunday November 10th at 6 pm was very disappointing and a poor business decision by the manager of the store. The 2 girls that were there were just as scared as everyone else and were trying to do as their manager told them on the phone as she was not there. There were about 20 cars that suddenly got off the expressway there because we all got the weather warning for a tornado in the area, to seek shelter. When I walked in I told them what was going on and that we needed to seek shelter in their restroom. I was there with my mom, myself and my husband and my mini Australian Shepard who is a wonderful dog and loves people. All of us woman and girls went into the girls restroom and all the guys went to the men's restroom. Thank goodness I had Allie (my dog) because she was a great comfort to everyone there especially the young girls who were crying but then started petting Allie. One of the workers came in to the restroom and said she had called her manager and the manager told her to tell everyone to get out and get back on the road. Mind you the tornado warning was still going on and the weather was atrocious outside. None of us were threatening in anyway, just all family people traveling back from being away. We all said I'm sorry but we aren't leaving. It will be done in about 20 mins and then we will be on our way. She said her manager said to call the cops. She then told all the guys that in their bathroom that she was going to call the police. My husband who is a well mannered well respected man told her he understood she was trying to follow her boss's instructions but that it was a terrible business decision and to go ahead and call them if that's what she needed to do, that by the time they got there it would be over and we would all be back on the road. And yes many were actually shopping and just visiting with each other. I have screen shot the messages we had received on our phones but I'm sure it's not necessary to send those as everyone knew of the tornado in that area. This was a heartless move by the manager. The girls working were also shaking up as well. I would appreciate an email back on this situation and I'm sure you received many calls and or emails about this night. Tina
