They give false quotes and have zero customer service skills. We were quoted £45 via phone. The locksmith then turned up and removed our lock. After removing the lock he advised it would be £120 which was not what we were quoted on the phone. He also had no real justification for why it was this much. Don't bother booking with them unless you want to be ripped off. Shame I can't give a zero star. read more

Terrible. Not at all happy with the transparency on cost. On the phone, quoted that the labour would be £45, no mention that it might be higher. Locksmith arrives and says if it's a complex job, it is £125. Lock removed with a specialist tool in 2 minutes. Understand this is a skilled job, but there was no transparency that it might be higher. Another company has done this exact repair for ~£50 less. Not recommended, won't use again... read more

The most rude people ever! To start with, when I called up, the lady informed the about the prices which seemed quite decent. When the guys arrived, after "trying" to unlock the door for 2 minutes, he said that the lock will need to be removed and changed and told me the price as the lady before (£85). After the lock was changed, the price given me was £314. Had to call their manager about such false information and ridiculous pricing. I was shouted at by him and called names. The manager told me that he is going to listen to a call recording and if the lady told me that ALL will be £85, he will fire her and if not, then I would ahve to pay double. Came to change a lock for my elderly mother and charged her £829 to change one lock at 6pm one evening.... advertised as cheap and friendly... demanded payment immediately for the total amount. piss-poor service, piss-poor telephone manner, and they're all awful people. I called at 9 in the morning, explaining my situation, and not only did the man shout over me when I tried to explain what the problem was with my door, he took over an hour to get back to me about a locksmith even coming out (which he didn't really; I had to call HIM), by which time he said that a technician wasn't coming out! Bear in mind, during our first conversation, he had promised to send a locksmith out to me in 20-30 minutes. The website is misleading, because it says that they can be with you really quickly, but they're based in Sidcup! Quite frankly, it's a ridiculous location for an emergency 24hr locksmith that operates in London. It was such awful, AWFUL service. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

I really wish I'd googled this company before booking them - I wish I'd known other people's experiences were so bad! The experience of hiring ITCC Locksmiths started well. The man I spoke to on the phone was knowledgable and quoted reasonable prices. I booked them to visit the following week. Firstly, they turned up late. This was frustrating given that I had taken time off work. Secondly, the locksmith quoted the wrong price and I had to negotiate back to what had already been agreed. Most importantly, the quality of work was so low. I had explained my door setup when I booked and was told that it was suitable for the lock, so the locksmith should have turned up with the right tools. He didn't. He has drilled a 10cm gap in the door. I only wish I could attach photos to the review - it is a mess. Because he arrived late I couldn't stay to approve the work so I returned to this mess. I immediately emailed the photos over to the company and asked them to return and correct it. That was two weeks ago and I received no response at all despite numerous phone calls and emails. Don't touch them! Lost keys, locked self out at 3am this morning in Surbiton. Called ITCC who gave price of £140 plus VAT. When they arrived more than 40 minutes later I was told by Chris had two options: he could get in but would have to drill the lock and I would not be able to lock the door OR pay extra £140 plus VAT and have new lock fitted! So would seem I was only quoted for half a job - who in their right mind would be happy with no lock on property? It was so late, I had waited so long, I agreed the £346.80, which had to be paid (by credit card) before locksmith would start. What a rip off! I was tired, vulnerable and felt pressured. When waiting for him to turn up, I had contacted company two or three times for eta, when given different numbers each time to call/text. The third one Chris when asked about eta said, "Its busy, its the middle of the night, you will have to wait". Not much customer service there! A big no no for service and pricing. read more

£451.60 to open my front door!!!!!!!!! Then I was quoted another £400+ more for a new multipoint mechanism which I kindly said no thanks, found one on eBay for £20. The locksmith did a good job not damaging the door but it only took 25 mins so I don't know how it was so much. So all in all I'm nearly £500 quid poorer and I'm left with an open door, not the kind of service you expect. Will never be using them again and I recommend you use someone else. My friend was locked out of his flat, so I arranged to have this locksmith attend. I was quoted £45 per hour on the phone. When the locksmith arrived, I spoke to him on the phone and he said it was a flat fee of £180 to drill the lock, plus whatever additional charges to fit a new lock, if we wanted that. I was shocked at the 'bait and switch', but reluctantly agreed and authorised him to go ahead. After drilling the lock and opening the door (which must have taken 5 minutes, incidentally) he called back and said the cheapest lock replacement would be £120. Again very displeased, I reluctantly agreed and authorised this additional charge. When the work was done and it came time to pay, I got another call, telling me the total was £630. The locksmith claimed 'it was on the website', and seemed to think this somehow gave him a legal leg to stand on. I refused to pay anything other than the £180 and £120 I had authorised, reminding him that the price quote he gave me on the phone, ridiculously expensive in themselves, were binding and all that I had authorised. I should also add they sent two men, who - had I been physically present - would undoubtedly have been sufficient to intimidate me into paying the full amount. read more

Front door key turning but not moving the bolt. They charged £380 to "fix" it. It worked for all of 3 !! days before the problem recurred. They claimed it was a "different" problem now, so not covered by warranty, so would incur call-out/parts/labour charges all over again! Avoid these people. read more

Terrible company, they completely rip customers off. They charged me £150 for a call out on a Sunday morning which involved around 10-15 minutes work and £220 for a part that costs around £60 online from Screwfix etc. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. read more

I would not recommend ITCC. I chose them because they were helpful on the phone when I first called and quoted a reasonable price. We had a slightly complicated issue with a new lock and despite trying hard, the ITCC guy could not fit the lock. He charged me for the visit. I called another locksmith the next day who fitted it - it was not easy but he did it. The second locksmith said that they would only charge me if they could fit it and this is normal for locksmiths. When I asked for a refund from ITCC given I paid them for their visit and someone else had fitted the same lock within 24 hours, instead of asking me questions to understand this, they accused me of lying and saying I was not telling the truth as the lock could not have been fitted and on the basis I was lying would not give me a refund. Extraordinary. If we had had a reasonable conversation a part refund would have been palatable. However I was beyond angry at being accused of lying when I was telling the truth and this takes bad customer service to another level. I would not recommend. read more
