Got scammed out of a massive amount of money via real estate wire fraud…read more The scammer tried to get me to send additional money to a Dallas-based account, which the bank CONFIRMED existed and whose owner is TRACEABLE, as did the FBI. FBI told me to call the DPD's Financial Crimes division to get them to look into the account owner, who is either intentionally or unwittingly acting as a fraud ring money laundering mule. When I did, the DEI phone operator, probably miserable at her lowly position with zero prospects for advancement so late in life, was rude and unsympathetic, telling me I had NO PROOF that this happened!!! I have proof - documents, emails, texts, and the wire loss itself, LOL. For her to say that, and so pompously... these people are not "protecting and serving", that's for sure, lol. Just collecting a paycheck and pension off the taxpayers like ticks.

He let me ride in the front seat but cuffed my hands in the front. I got to keep my shoes and clothes. My cell was clean, it even had a phone!!! I got two chicken sandwiches and an extra blanket and pillow so I made a fort like when I was a kid. You know, to keep the light out. I also got $250 a day to sit it out. My wife said she would get me out. I told her HELL no!! I didn't tell her but I was enjoying the peace and quiet. I used vacation days and pretty much broke even on the money. I did get tickets for the speeding, but was warned for my registration sticker being out and for not wearing my seatbelt. Very different than years past with Blue Mound cops. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Irving Police Department…read more Last week, I woke up around 5:20 AM to three missed calls and a text message from Irving PD Officer Michael Ahern asking me to please call him. Because this involved the father of my children, I had no way of knowing whether something serious had happened. I immediately called back and texted him. I received no response. I then called Irving PD directly because I was understandably worried and anxious. I was told that Officer Ahern was a night-shift officer, but no one could tell me why he had contacted me, what the situation was, or when I could expect a response. The following night, when I assumed he was back on duty, I called and texted again. Still no response. I contacted the department twice more trying to get clarification or simply have someone connect me with the officer who had contacted me. Again, I was essentially told, "He's on night shift." My issue is not that an officer works nights. My issue is that if an officer calls someone three times at 4 AM, sends a text asking them to call back, and knows the person may reasonably believe the call concerns an emergency or serious situation, there should be some level of follow-up or communication when that person immediately responds. You don't get to disrupt someone's entire nervous system at 4 AM, leave them wondering whether something terrible happened to the father of their children, and then simply go silent with no explanation. Why did you call me three times, Michael Ahern? If it was important enough to call three times and ask me to call you back, it should be important enough to provide an explanation when I immediately do exactly that. I would appreciate an explanation and better communication from the Irving Police Department regarding this situation.
