Had my appointment in 2024 and the Consulate gave me additional work to prove my lineage (name descrepancies in vital docs between Italian and Americanized names mostly, but some other things ITAMcap should have caught/warned me about prior to the appointment based on our contractual agreements). I reached out to ITAMcap after my appointment and told them about this additional homework. They said they'd help me with half the items, but would not touch the name descrepancies situation. Despite agreeing to help me obtain the necessary docs, I ended up providing all of the docs to them myself. ITAMcap has been sitting on these documents for the past 2 years, stalling my application from being completed. When I reach out to them, they either don't answer or give me excuses. I have requested they send me everything they have multiple times and they said once over a year ago that they would send my documents to me, but never did. I have recently sent requests for the return of all of my documents and a refund, and they've ignored every one of them. I've had to re-request all of my documents from government agencies myself, and have started getting them apostilled on my own. In 2 weeks, I have done more than ITAMcap has done in 2 years. There are better companies out there to obtain citizenship. There's also a very helpful youtube channel called "Italian Citizenship Assistance" that I wish I had found before I reached out to ITAMcap. PLEASE pay close attention to the recent negative reviews. They are spot on to what I experienced. I sent the company my documents and literally no one reviewed them before mailing off to the consulate. Five months later with no communication from the staff I find out from the consulate that the birth certificate wasn't the right form and was rejected. The office never responds to my emails and has no answer to why the staff did nothing but shuffle papers around for several thousand dollars. Now they want me to pay double the original cost to redo what they screwed up. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB to hopefully save others from this scam of a company. My case is a fairly straight-forward, court case that I was initially told would take a bit of time but the documentation was there to be able to pursue. I am coming up on the 1 year mark for having paid my deposit and have seen absolutely nothing from them. I have provided documents that were in my families possession and filled out forms that needed notarizing, but haven't receive confirmation of there receipt, other than from USPS. The communication has been completely 1-way as I have to initiate emails and phone calls. I had an illness that took me out for a couple months after they had sent forms that needed completion and there was no follow up from them. I regret using this company and wish I had spent a bit more time researching other routes. I had initiated a refund but let them convince me that there had been action taken so I dropped the process. And they are back to no contact/no response. I have even begun to memorize the standard email reply they send about being busy due to recent legal decree - HA - there have been several and if they can't keep up with all that is going on, they either need new lawyers in their firm or to get into another line of work. read more

Executive package was agreed upon for family of three with two being in LA and one in Dallas. DocuSign was signed in agreement . A new case manager comes on and states, two files will be needed at near double the cost. At this point I had started working with the attorney they recommended to obtain court order documents in NY and had given the retainer. Then, we were told to go through the Italian judicial courts and were given a cost where they stated no where the total but it was near the same amount of the original cost. Turns out it still doubles the cost. I am out of the $250 base fee from the retainer due to their recommendation all while under their Executive service contract. The service is present, however they are not really remorseful of their mistakes. I am waiting on ITAMCAP to credit the $250 due to their ill advise at the start. BEWARE Shady Scammers Unfortunately, I used this company to help me obtain my Italian Citizenship. I had done all of the legwork myself in obtaining the required documents, but still had to pay $1250. for the document review. They told me I had two discrepancies I needed to get fixed before my appointment with the Embassy. They told me they would help me correct these discrepancies and help me with the legal side. It turns out, after confirming with the Embassy, the discrepancies were not discrepancies after all. They promise the moon, you pay then dearly and they don't produce. They said they didn't know how to find a lawyer who could help, after all the emails saying they would take care of it. They don't return you phone calls once you've realized you've been scammed. They wanted to charge $95. per page for translation when everyone online is charging $15. This company is a total scam like 99% of the companies that say they can help you get your dual citizenship. It turns out, it's fairly easy to go through this process without paying thousands of dollars to a shady company. Find someone else. Their customer service is horrible. I paid $4800 to get all my documents and it took almost 2 years. Several documents I sourced myself and sent them because they took too do long. In addition I never had a consistent consultant at least 5 different people during the course of this process. Once they had all their money it was difficult to get them to call me back. Then mid year 2024 around May I got an email asking for my review since I had my documents. I had nothing so I called them. Then they sent them in a binder no instructions on other paperwork I needed notarized. I then began trying to get an appointment with the Italian consulate after registering with them. Now after 9 months of trying I called them back to see if they had any help in getting an appointment only to be told NOW in February 2025 Italian law changed in October last year and I no longer qualify because my father was a minor when my GF naturalized BUT for €4900 not dollars they could guarantee me to get it under my grandmother's naturalization mind you she was my grandfather's wife because she naturalized in 1948 and my father was an adult. This organization has piss poor customer service and I don't believe they are very knowledgeable in what they are doing so now I'm out $4900 and they want me to fork out an additional $5000 since that's what the euros come to. However, we discovered that there was information regarding out Italian citizenship requirements that Giorgio did not convey to us until 3 months after the new requirements came into effect. This means that all of our payments were sent to him, and THEN he informed us of some new requirements. We are not able to fulfill these new requirements at the last minute. Basically, after much back and forth, we were forced to accept a 50% refund. The problem now is that, since that was agreed upon, I have not been able to reach him anymore.
