In two successive visits to Cabo Diane and I have now brought back to the States two playful clay creatures emerging from a broken egg that were both hand formed and hand painted by the artisan Nunez: one a frog, and the other a sea turtle. And I regularly wear a casual leather belt that I bought here. Prices are negotiable and in the end reasonable. But expect to pay at least 100 U.S. dollars for a unique, hand painted and hand signed figurine. Purchases may be packed for immediate carry out or shipment to the U.S. Fragile objects are very carefully protected and ingeniously wrapped before being packed inside a shoe box. In each instance our creative creatures survived both ship and airplane transit to arrive fully intact and ready for final rest inside a curio cabinet.

This location, which anchors The Plaza Cabo San Lucas, is your standard Walmart from the outside, but inside it is a different world that I was not expecting! The store is well laid out, clean, stocked, features all the specialty counters we need plus cafes with seating on both ends of the store...and they even had a gelato spot up front! I know this is a fairly new location, so it being in good condition was expected, but they do a great job at keeping this location up cleanliness and condition wise. Service was solid. When we needed help on the floor, someone was able to assist. Cashier was friendly and helpful...even given the slight language barrier. Overall, I was impressed with this Walmart...and that it the first time I've ever said that, so you know it was for good reason!

Eclectic Array is a must if you are in San Jose Del Cabo!

BUYERS BEWARE! This store is worse than a used car salesman! I would like to know how someone was…read moreable to give a 5 star review under my name! You hear from Carnival Cruise about the warnings from buying items from street vendors, well I am warning you about one in a building! I saw a ring that I really liked, and asked to see it. Someone made sure they separated me and my husband. Then someone came with a different ring and said your husband really likes this one for you. This new ring was about $1500 more than ring I was looking at. I turned to look at my husband and he was like "Get what ever one you want". I then said "I like the one that I picked out." But salesman kept pushing the other ring saying, your husband REALLY wants you to have this one. Salesman even threw in a necklace. I caved in and choose the ring that my husband "WANTED" me to have. They then took my husband back to area to buy the ring-they kept me at the counter. During that transaction they added the necklace at $200! Yep, the one that the salesman threw in to sweeten the deal. Do I have buyers remorse about the ring? No. Do I have salesmen remorse? YES. Their tactics falls under tourist traps in Cabo. If my daughter would have told me this incident that happened to her while she was also in the store looking, I would have walked out. What happen with my daughter in the store while she was looking at necklaces. She saw one she liked, it was $1700. They kept pushing the sale. She told them she would think about it. The salesman had the nerve to go to my husband and tell him that he could pay a $1000 on the necklace and our daughter could pay $700! If I would have known that, we all would have left the store. So buyer beware!

Super cute, affordable, little boutique jewelry shop in the heart of Cabo. They have lots of other…read moreshops at this location and we decided to walk in for a look here. My girlfriend and I always look for cute rings when we travel, cause that's her jam, and we found some nice pieces here. They have a good selection of options for women, and men. More importantly, the lady who helped us ( I am the worst with names) was the most knowledgeable jeweler I have ever met. She was straight to the point and gave us some excellent suggestions for simple things like, when a ring is stuck on your finger, use, Windex! She showed us that it worked when the size 13 ring was too snug for my Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage fingers. She was super helpful, very informative and knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. We just had a nice chat about silver, gemstones, and the Windex. I would recommend this to anyone looking for cute boutique-y jewelry. The prices seem competitive and you can find some good stuff without breaking the bank. It's a really cool spot to take your girlfriend, to offset the three and a half hours she spends with you at the sports bar every Sunday.

We took a non-stop flight down to Baja California Sur. Super convenient. It's only a 1 hour time difference from Pacific Standard Time. We checked out the Costco off Carretera Transpeninsular (Hwy 1) while on vacation. We didn't rent a car so a hotel staff member was able to arrange transportation to take us there. Lots of parking. The setup is pretty much the same as the Costcos up here. I liked seeing their signage and merch in Spanish. It was also interesting seeing prices in their local currency. I noticed the abundance of alcohol, like top shelf stuff. Not surprising since it's Cabo. Of course people are here to party! The warehouse was clean. The employees were nice. We bought some snacks to bring back to the hotel. Their food court was outside. We didn't get anything though since it was hot and the line was long. The ocean view was nice too.

In addition to those items, I purchased the fresh coconuts that had a drinking straw and cocktail pick to poke a hole for the straw, and bags of dried cherries because the stores in CA do not carry them as of late. Before wine shopping, I had a list of wines to look for and was thrilled to find two. Because I had never tried a Nebbiolo, I chose an L.A. Cetto Nebbiolo for US$28 and a Monte Xanic (pronouned shaw-neek) Gran Ricardo 2022 for a little over US$100 which is slightly more than US prices. While my wine friend tasted notes of leather and tobacco, I just thought the Nebbiolo tasted DRY, but we both enjoyed drinking it. On the other hand, the Monte Xanic Gran Ricardo was full of fruit and tannins that everyone favored. As Yelper Dustin E mentioned, getting gasoline for the rental car is TOTALLY different than the U.S. Instead of using the pump to transact with your Costco card, you have to use a separate card reader. After trying numerous combinations to pay for gas, you have to scan/swipe/insert your membership card, estimate how many liters you need on a car you're unfamiliar with but you need to return it to the rental car company with the gas tank full (figure 4 liters to the gallon) then you scan/swipe/insert a different credit card to pay for the amount of gas you think you need. I do not know what happens if you over buy. Keep in mind, this is all done in Spanish. In retrospect, I should have spoken to an employee inside the store to help me understand how to use the car reader and show me. Otherwise, all Americans will be taking an inordinate amount of time figuring out how to pay for their gas. Pumping gas is straight forward once you figure out the payment part. For my car, my rental company requested premium gas. As far as accessibility to Costco, if you're coming from the north, it's easier to access the Costco using the main road and then exit to the frontage road. If you're coming from the south or the marina, you have to pass Costco and then exit to a frontage road and take the Retorno (a big U-turn bridge that crosses the main highway). If you don't need gas or mega packages of food, shop at the Soríana right next door.
