This is a late review but after visiting the Vancouver, BC Costco I thought it would be fun to write about my Costco trip down in Cabo San Lucas. We took a non-stop flight down to Baja California Sur. Super convenient. It's only a 1 hour time difference from Pacific Standard Time. We checked out the Costco off Carretera Transpeninsular (Hwy 1) while on vacation. We didn't rent a car so a hotel staff member was able to arrange transportation to take us there. Lots of parking. The setup is pretty much the same as the Costcos up here. I liked seeing their signage and merch in Spanish. It was also interesting seeing prices in their local currency. I noticed the abundance of alcohol, like top shelf stuff. Not surprising since it's Cabo. Of course people are here to party! The warehouse was clean. The employees were nice. We bought some snacks to bring back to the hotel. Their food court was outside. We didn't get anything though since it was hot and the line was long. The ocean view was nice too. read more

This is a great location! It's very crowded and very busy. The staff does their best to move people through checkout line. As an American getting gasoline for our car was a bit confusing because it's completely different. You have to guess how many liters vehicle will hold and then pre-pay for that amount. I guessed wrong and hopefully the difference will be refunded. It hasn't yet in a few days. We had to wait 20 minutes for more chicken to come out, but that's not unusual. They were an absolutely no hurry too, package it up and put out the bags. Very methodical and slow. The selection here was great! It's a Costco! I've been visiting Cabo since 2007 and 2025 is my first trip to Costco, or any Costco outside of the US. It was a cool experience just for that. But just being me and my wife this trip, most of the items offered were too big of quantity for us to use in two weeks. But if you lived here or at a giant group of people, it's just outstanding. read more

Majority of their prices are higher than in California. They don't really have many unique items that are from the local area. The views however from the parking lot are spectacular. read more

The Cabo San Lucas Costco is similar to any Costco in the USA. The selection of merchandise was vast. I was able to pickup all my vacation needs at Costco without the need to stop at Walmart. The one thing that Cabo Costco has that the US stores do not have are freshly made mini donuts in the bakery section. read more

Once I figured out how to pay, it was super easy. It took me a few tries to get the card reader to work in English. I'm not good enough at Spanish to get through the Spanish version. Make sure to start with the English version first. Once I got it activated, filling the car was very easy. No hassle definitely would come here again if we rent a car. read more

This is a really well maintained / fairly new Costco. It's also likely one of the few Costcos I've been to with an ocean view! The food court is outside and it was wonderful grabbing a cold drink and sitting there while looking at the water. Things inside are well organized and it's easy to find the essential items you're likely looking for. Coming from a person living in California, things were organized about the same as our stores, with the exception being the unique items like mopeds, and some off-road vehicles. Perhaps these are present and other Costco's throughout the United States but I was stoked to see them here in Mexico. This was a great spot to pick up the bathing suit that I forgot and some unique treats from the bakery. I've always found amazing value and quality coming from the Costco bakery and this one was no exception; they deliver every time. This place gets BUSY so parking can be tough to find. Also, if you're refueling here, know that it was be a bit finicky. Our card didn't work the first few attempts but it finally went through in the fourth try. read more

I was happy to find out that US Costco card works here! We took advantage of it since we rented a car. Membership in Mexico is so cheap! It is $10 usd for regular membership and $50 usd for executive membership. One thing I liked about Mexico is that they take COVID precautions very seriously. Temperature check is mandatory indoors. You have to use hand sanitizers before you walk into Costco. We got like four Mexican Medjooo date cases here because they were so good! Higy recommended. read more

This Costco has a huge parking lot and gas station. I have never seen a gas station with so many pumps. We came here to buy water, food, and liquor. Costco has some of the best liquor prices in the area. Spend money on the premium stuff and skip the Costco brand alcohol. I had Kirkland tequila and while it was very affordable; it was not as good as the other stuff. The water was very affordable. The strawberries and cream was the best desert I have eaten all year. The sandwiches were decent but I like the chicken more than the tuna. read more

As far as Costco's go, this one isn't much different than what you'd find in the US. Everything was easy to navigate, prices were similar to US, customer service was decent. I don't remember there being a gas station on location and their food court is outside. They definitely lose a star or 2 from their food courts lack of urgency and service. The food was consistent, but we must've waited 20 mins for a fresh pizza, when there was hardly anyone around ordering or waiting for food. The mango smoothies were decent as were the cannelones. Nothing amazing here, but absolutely an average Costco experience... nothing horrible, nothing outstanding. read more

They sell most of the same things as in the U.S. but noticeably lacking was my Kirkland brand nicotine gum ( therefore the 3 and not the4) however when there today looking for my Kirkland brand peanuts they were nowhere in sight either. That said, if in Cabo, you should definitely visit, if for no other reason, for the outdoor hot dog stand. read more

I am normally a fan of Costco - this review is focused on my visit as a tourist to Cabo. Pros: 1. Glad there is a Costco nearby - a short Uber ride away. Especially if you need bottled water or other items for your trip. 2. Not crowded at all compared to US locations 3. The hot dog is still $1.50 Cons: 1. The US Costco credit card doesn't work at the food court (due to the wierd pre-order kiosk) so you have to use cash (even though it works inside to pay for merchandise) and wait in the long cash-only line. 2. The pizza at the food court is not good. It is completely different than the US pizza. Both the dough and the cheese are different - kind of tastes like the cafeteria pizza I used to eat in elementary school. read more

I love Costco in general. I love how much the Costco in Cabo saves my family every time we visit. We come up on liquor, water, food and ice cream. We usually spend $170 which is good for a week for a family of four. We stock up on a case of beer, wine, tequila, rum, water, croissants, eggs, milk, half and half, cream cheese, butter, Spanish salami, etc. They have the usual Costco staples and some cool local pieces like retro bicycles, beautiful Mexican-made beach cover ups for kids and adults, and local pastries. The gas is also very reasonable which we appreciate since we always rent a car and drive around. read more

Can't go wrong with Costco to pick up some food, drinks and other supplies to enjoy wherever you're staying. This one is conveniently located on the way from the airport, just about 2 miles from the Welk Sirena del Mar. read more

WOW! I drove over from San Jose to do some serious spending for my condo. I needed everything. TV, refrigerator, chest freezer, food, and a lot more. Well we get there and there is a sign out. 1 person per family! Yes, that is correct. 1 person inside and the other sit's inside your hot car or wait out front! Makes 0 sense. They have probably 6 guards so don't try to pass your card thru the fence. I don't know what the locals do with kids or elderly in the car. They just do not care. I wont be going back. What? Costco in Mexico? I was wondering where I was going to buy the booze I was going to bring back home, and then I saw Costco. We were only in town for a few days, so we didn't need a week's worth of food for the condo, but if you are a Costco membership, you know what you can buy here. Yep, they have all the usual suspects and favorites, plus lots of regional options. We ended up with a bottle of Mezcal and a bottle of Patron silver to bring back duty free. It is was cheaper here than back home (which meant it was way cheaper then the airport duty free rip off shop), and cheap enough I didn't bother shopping around for it. read more

Never one to disappoint, Costco lived up to our expectations. They are one of the few companies that truly pulls off a consistent customer experience across all their stores. Thank you!!!! They had all of our usuals as well as some different local flavored products. The Oaxaca cheese was outstanding. Wish they'd carry that same cheese in the US. Also wished that the Mexican Costco carried churros in their food court bc the Costco churros are some of the best. They did however make up for it with a thirst quenching, flavor bursting mango smoothie. Wish they'd carry that flavor in the US. Awesome prices on their liquor store items. Hours were convenient. Tons of free parking. Even found our favorite soy milk. read more

Nice air conditioned place to wander to escape the humidity, Same as Costco at home. Sat an enjoyed the view with a nice ice cold drink and hot dog!!! Good place to fill you bottles with great ice from fountain machine and enjoy the view of the ocean and rocks!! read more

So helpful to have a Costco in los Cabos! First time as an American in Mexico, and it was nice to see a familiar store. Lots of the same items and basics you see at every Costco, with some other meixcan foods and candies. We stocked up on alcohol, mixers, juice, and basic foods to have while staying at the resort. Helped us save money. They have security at the Costco and taxi drivers ready to help you load your groceries and take you back to your hotel. Prices were the same as the US, just listed in pesos. The membership card from the US worked the same, along with my Costco credit card. Glad to have Costco there! read more

Saving grace for the family. COVID protocol is on point and found many of my local items from home. the only issue was the gas ....I tried using my temp pass and the attendants stated that they could not help. Back in CA, I've forgotten my card a few times and an attendant can swipe their own card but again...not a major issue and overall a great experience read more
