I love a good ball game! Growing up I went to San Francisco Giants games multiple times a year. I include that to give you context for my life long love of baseball, but not to compare parks- that would be ridiculous! This is a small park with great cheap seats, good eats and a lot of family fun. They do all the typical ballpark fun activities, kiss cams, games for kids and they even have a carousel for the kiddos! Of course, food and drink is a bit steep, but they do try and mitigate that with deals before the 5th inning! I tried the bananas foster last week and it was amazing! I would suggest sharing- it was huge! They have rotating food specials that are quite the delight. I will mention that they host United Soccer here as well, but I haven't been in attendance! Isotopes Park is a good outing for kids. I've come here primarily for baseball games and have spent a lot of that time at the kids' area. My kiddo loves that area with the playground and rides. As a parent, I appreciate that there is an 'all-day' pass. The last time we went was on July 3. The park refused to accept the drink ticket issued for the summer reading program. That was a little frustrating as a parent, but my kid got his drink and a slice of pizza anyway. They could use some maintenance in the bathrooms and/or a family restroom on a continuous basis. Small kids, strollers, etc, have issues fitting in the regular one with all of the people. read more

Came to watch an Isotopes game to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday and was extremely disappointed by the lack of gluten-free options. Nothing on the menus is labeled for dietary restrictions, and the concession stands are run by volunteers who aren't familiar with the ingredients in the food. The only items I felt safe eating were a fruit cup and some packaged candy. Really disappointed--there's a growing need for inclusive options, and this experience definitely fell short. read more

Friday night at Isotopes Stadium was awesome!!! First time visiting the stadium and was impressed! We sat Club level and enjoyed the bathrooms, snack bar, dessert bar and actual bar up there. The soft serve ice cream in waffle cone was YUMMY! Many food options on the main level including Dion's, cheesesteaks, and all the ball park options in between. Club level served a hand carved tri tip sandwich that looked really good! The bathrooms were clean, lines moved quickly and we had a great time! Definitely a nice way to spend a Friday night. Plenty of kids offerings behind center and right field including a jump house, carousel, play area and other kids rides. Compared to other markets, the prices were very reasonable for both tickets and food. One tip... The outfield and most of the visitors side is directly in the sunlight. If that bothers you, I suggest selecting a seat on the home side. read more

Bring a date, hang out with the girls or your boys, fun time with the family or just be by yourself in a crowd. Great views, lots of parking, friendly staff, good concession areas. You know you're gonna pay those high food costs so go ahead and add a margarita or ice cold beer to your hot dog, cheeseburger, pizza or chicken tenders meal. Of course no lids so you will spill some of your drink unless you swipe some off the top before attempting to walk. Trust me on this one Orbit, the Isotopes mascot, is highly visible and lots of first responders walking around. All in all, enjoy yourself and the game. read more

Take me out to the ball game! This particular game got rained out, but we sure had a great time eating and drinking! The first night for the token "beer bat" turned out to be a soggy one. But this $22 souvenir beer didn't disappoint and we also rounded up a green chile cheeseburger, peanuts, dippin dots, cotton candy and a hot dog. We were able to exchange our tickets for another game and left the park very happy. read more

We went to watch the baseball game Saturday night. The game was a lot of fun!! I always get really nervous about parking but it turns out not as bad once I get there. Leaving the stadium is always pretty crazy. The alcoholic drinks are suuuuper expensive but it's just what it is. They have a good amount of food options so I really enjoy that as well! The hot dog was yummy and it wasn't outrageously expensive either. Not too into sports but always enjoy the atmosphere! read more

The park and view at the park are beautiful. Fun place to hang with friends and visit. We ate before we got there but there's lots of selection for food and drink. It is not cheap to buy food or drinks so be prepared. The fire works after the game were impressive. We had good seats down low between home base and third. I don't like sitting on the south side which is not covered because it's way to bright (even with sunglasses) until the sunsets, so I'd stay away from those seats. read more

What a great feeling when you can walk back into a ballpark! We arrived with grandbaby in tow to an afternoon game. The process was easy. We were prepared with our clear bag and ready to celebrate the re-opening of the field. Great seats made it very comfortable to withstand the afternoon sun. You can tell that the 'Topes are well received in their home town due to the quality of their ballpark. It's clean, well-kept, and people respect the place. It's one of the nicer MILB stadiums I've ever been too and they have a ton of different concession options which is great. The night that I attended, they played as their alter ego, The Green Chili Cheeseburgers, which (if I'm being honest) is one of the best sports logos around. I came on a very windy day but I was determined to try the new chi-wa-wa sandwich at the ballpark. It is available at the Santa Fe trail or the Pecos river cafe. The sandwich is huge with a whole pound of bbq pulled pork layered with green chile and nacho cheese topped with a crispy cheese stuffed chile relleno all on top of a open bun. Knife, fork and lots of napkins recommended! This item fills the entire plate and is easily shareable. It is a little pricey $25. It barely had cheese and chile on it, that was the only downside and I had to ask for bbq sauce. Also, I think it should come with at least a drink or small side of slaw or beans for that price but It's a lot of food! I probably wouldn't order it again but it was definitely worth it once! As a MiLB lover, I can tell you that Isotopes is my favorite park by a long shot! I grew up with the Midland Angels before they turned into the Rockhounds and would go to every game with my dad. I've tasted almost everything served at a MiLB game. I know every variation of a game day hot dog and the more recent favorite of the bananas foster. There is just something magical about this stadium. First of all, there is no such thing as a bad seat. Even the berm has fantastic views as well as room to spread out. The food is great from the green chile cheeseburgers to the hot dogs with self-service topping stations. The bananas foster is great and so is the peaches and green chile flambé. My favorite fare, however, can only be found on the club/suite level. That is where you can find the tri-tip sandwich at The Carvery with frizzled onions. You have an option of three sauces: gourmet BBQ, creamy horseradish, or sriracha mayo. They are all amazing! The sandwich is giant and a steal at $12! It comes with a side of fresh coleslaw or homemade chips. You can also get half and half of both sides. This is a big meal worthy of a nice restaurant! read more

There is always fun nights to be had at the isotopes Park. The ushers are always pleasant and accommodating especially to the little ones on their first visit. What is baseball without beer? They have a great selection of local craft and domestic beer. It is a bit pricey but that is expected. Go and have a fun time! Definitely would recommend if you have never attended. read more

When I got married I married baseball. In the las twenty five years I have been to ball games on levels from little league to major league. I watched games in parks, Rec fields, new ball parks and historic ones. I have watched Duke games and Isotope games. The ball park is a great one. There really isn't a bad seat. You get a great view of the beautiful Sandia Mountains. Getting in and out the park is usually very easy, thanks to APD. I love the community involvement that the Isotopes have in Albuquerque and the surrounding cities. I do appreciate that they have local groups be servers in the concession stands as fundraising but that's also their downfall. Some of the lines are ridiculous while others don't know how to assemble the product. I know this isn't their regular gig but seriously all ice cream no brownie, or brownie and teaspoon of ice cream and a splattered of whip cream, hard churros, seven limes in a margarita and 20.00 for curly potato and you want to charge extra oh and your comfort burger should have come with a fork and knife. We had a large group so there was a variety of food and drinks. If we're expected to pay major league prices you should at least be serving food to that standard. I also think we shouldn't miss two innings trying to get a funnel cake, I say trying because we ultimately gave up. That's how my daughter ended up with a hard churro. The ball park, the game the announcer were all spot on but the food not so much. Thus the negative one star! read more

You cannot go wrong with a family outing at the Isotopes Lab! The staff are always friendly, the park is beautiful and it is totally cashless! Make sure you leave your bags and purses at home. They only allow clear bags, unless you are needing to bring a diaper bag, into the park. When you are selecting your tickets make sure to note where the seats are for shade. It can get wicked hot in the bleachers, but bringing an umbrella and a spray bottle can help to beat the heat! If using an iOS device I would recommend avoiding seating choices on your iPhone and opt for selections on your tablet, iMac or MacBook. The app is a little persnickety with iPhones and can get tricky with seat selections. If you are interested in having the family participate in any of the promo activities, plan to get there about 45 minutes before first pitch and look for employees in the red promo shirts. They can see if you qualify for any of the fun activities during the game. This also gives yo a chance to get balls signed by the players above the dugout. This is a great little ball park. Tickets online are stuffed with fees, so buying at the ticket office is the way to go. Parking is almost invariably $5 at a nearby University parking lot (you'll see signs). Walking to the park isn't bad from the lots. There are metal detectors and security bag checks on the way in. Ticket takers are nice and very often there are promos. Concessions are pricey, as you would expect. $9 for a "jack Daniels and Pepsi" - several dollars for a solo hotdog. Bathrooms are numerous enough and clean. Very very few seats are shaded so bring an umbrella if it's a day event. So our game got rained out! They held out as long as they could. Every few minutes the announcer would come on and tell us the the game was delayed due to the surrounding weather, blah, blah, blah. We know, we're familiar with the Albuquerque rain. A few minutes of precipitation, clears up, may return for a short bout, and it's done. Well, we did get that, but an hour and half later, it didn't let up. It was time to go, the game was officially called off. The nice part was, the park stayed open and all the concessions fully operational and available for to appease your hunger, savory or sweet, and your thirst, be it water, soda or perhaps that libation! I used to watch Duke games here. The renovations they've made to the stadium have made this into a great venue. The bathrooms have always been clean. Although they no longer farm players for the Dodgers, the quality and skills are just as good now that they go to the Rockies. I have seen about seven Isotopes games. All of them have been relaxing. I have sat in the corporate suites and the cheap seats and both had great views. The crowd here is family friendly, with no profane hecklers or jeerers. I think this might be due to the high cost of beer (and other snacks). The high concession prices and $5 parking are why I subtracted one star. We saw them play the Las Vegas 51's this past Sunday and even though we endured two rain delays (one for 18 minutes) my son and I sat happily in the rain since the days have been so hot lately. We sat about five rows behind third base and the view was spectacular. We walked around inside the stadium during the delays and noticed they have a picnic and kid's area near the grass seating. We left at 9 pm and they were still playing, but we heard them win on 610 AM. Definitely recommend this for a relaxing and lazy Sunday. read more

They have enough going on between innings to keep you entertained (go taco!). Tickets are reasonable priced and can't beat different specials going on in the park (i.e. 50 cent hot dog night). I had a situation a couple weeks ago where I purchased tickets through a third party vendor online and had the most difficult time trying to access those tickets. After an hour of attempting to get them we finally went to the ticket window and explain the situation and the girl that helped me couldn't have been nicer. She was actually able to use my email address to find the sale and then to print the tickets and give them to us all with a smile. I was truly amazed. I figured since it was a third party and not the box office that I purchased the tickets from that they might give me a difficult time or say that they didn't care. But that was not the case at all. I told the girl that she was my angel that day and she smiled and thanked me. This was my first time to the park and I had four other people with me counting on me to get the tickets. I don't know if this person went above and beyond to assist me or if it was their natural way of doing business but it was surely appreciated. read more
