Gave me a great recommendation to a family dentist, also. My case is not an ordinary ortho, want my teeth straight, case. There is a lot of work that will be needed and braces are just the 1st step. They have given me no judgment on the state of my teeth, just very helpful advice on how to proceed with next steps and who to contact. So nice, because I had put off any work in my mouth over anxiety about what professionals would say. I appreciate how wonderful, nice, and professional they all are. Comparing my previous orthodontist before we moved (which I love, too) and Pura Vida... Things are moving fast! I think, I took so much time expressing my anxieties to my first orthodontist, he was taking things slow. but with Pura Vida, we are moving right along. I will be out of braces in roughly 6 months and ready to start Phase II on my beautiful, healthy mouth journey. Thank you to the entire staff. My family was and something we were looking for was a dentist who can do it all. See adults, children, put on braces... the whole works, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I had met Dr. Sorenson a while back and never really thought much about going to him until I met a few people who had seen him. Dr. Sorenson is a very personable and friendly. His staff make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. They were playing "Happy Feet" on the television for my son to keep him busy while I filled out the quick paperwork. The staff had already contacted our two different dental offices prior to our visit, which made the transition so much easier with the records already in hand. Who cannot like a company/business that goes out of their way to make your time easier. The paperwork was minimum and that makes me happy. My son who was a little nervous was put to ease with the dental hygienist who made him laugh pretty much the whole visit. Also while he was in the chair he was able to watch another children's video. Dr. Sorenson took the time to explain the braces process to my son so he could understand. Then at the end of our visit... took the time to let me know all the options and what he thought would be best for my child. I would have to say that I am very happy with the services we received and I will be bringing the rest of my family when it is their time for a cleaning. I had a poor experience at this dentist 6 months ago, where the hygienist, Jessica, told me that a…read moreprocedure would be covered by my insurance, but it was not. I asked for a different hygienist last time, but when I came in on 2/5, it was the same hygienist, Jessica, that came out to get me. After a couple if minutes of her using the scaling tool, she punctured my upper right gum so hard that I flinched and was bleeding significantly. She asked if it was the mirror that hurt me and I told her no, that she had poked me with the scaling tool, she said "oh". She continued the descaling while slipping more times around the same tooth, while I flinched again, and she said "that tooth must be sensitive". When she moved to the lower left of my mouth, she slipped again and punctured my lower right gum and that is when I got up and told her I was done. I took off the bib and started to walk out, all she said was "I will take the glasses too". I went to the front desk and told her that I was poked too many times and had blood all over in my mouth and that I would need to reschedule. She could tell I was upset and said to have me call to reschedule. A few hours later someone from the office called to ask what happened. I explained what I wrote above and all she said was that some people have more sensitive mouths that others and that they could use numbing cream next time. I said this was not an issue I had ever experienced before and I believe it is an issue with the hygienist, not my mouth. This is when she explained that Jessica typically does water descaling, not the tool she used on me. They offered to schedule me with another hygienist the following week, but I told them I would be looking for a new dentist. Today, I got a claim report that they submitted to be paid for my cleaning, that was clearly a terrible experience, and not complete. I called the office and they feel that since Jessica got through some of the cleaning (she claims all of it, which is untrue) that they can submit the claim. I am shocked that a business would run this was and that they do not value their customers.

I don't recommend them. I have had a couple issues with them. I was told they can take children…read morethen after we brought them and found out extra care was needed. They told us that we need to see another dentist and had to do the same appointment all over again. Which then cost me more money. Then went in for a procedure that was multiple appointments and they never scheduled me for the follow appointment and now told I have to wait two more month to be seen while I have a hole in my tooth that they put in. Their mistake but was told there is nothing they can do and don't apologize for the mistake. Their customer service is low quality and act like they don't care.
