My family and I flew from the San Francisco Bay Area to Houston Hobby and needed a ride to Galveston to port for a cruise. I contacted 3 different car service companies and decided to go with Top Tier Chauffeur services, out of instinct and I'm so happy I did. The day of our arrival, Betty texted me and provided me with the name of our driver, Kae, and his phone # and told me he will be in baggage claim to meet us after our flight. Soon after, I received a text from Kae. When we landed we went straight to baggage claim, there was Kae right when we got down the escalators holding a digital sign with my name on it. He made it easy to find him. He walked with us (there were 4 of us) to pick up our bags from the carousel then loaded our bags into the suburban. The ride was nice and clean. Kae was welcoming and engaged in our conversations. We started talking about Buc-cees and lo and behold we did a quick pit stop there. Our first time at a Buc-cees so we were super grateful for that stop. The day we came back from the cruise, I received a text from Kae letting me know he was going to be the one picking us up as well. I texted him when we got off the ship and he was there within minutes with cold water for each of us. If you know how hot and humid Galveston, TX gets then you know cold water is a treat. Thankfully, a helpful driver from the 10am shuttle tried to assist by contacting the company to bring the original driver back, but it took over an hour for the shuttle to return--right in the middle of peak traffic. This caused unnecessary stress and put several families at risk of missing their flights. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. We will not be using this shuttle service again and would strongly advise others to look for a more reliable option.

I pre booked with Galveston Shuttle to make sure the six of us had rides to the airport and didn't have to fight for or pay ridiculous prices for Uber or Lyft rides to the airports that service Houston. We had four people going to Houston Hobby airport and two people going further to George Busch airport. They took people to both airports on one motor coach. The coach was in great shape, very comfortable, the driver was safe and it had a great working air conditioner. They loaded your bags and unloaded your bags for you. We just gave them a little gratuity for their efforts. The price for our trip worked out to $56 per couple. The funny thing is that Galveston Shuttle contracts with Carnival Cruise line and you got on the exact same motor coach and Carnival charges this amount per person. Hmmmm, let me do the math for the exact same service. We got out of there pretty quick considering the amount of traffic that was in all the cruise terminals. Be patient while waiting, they stop at each terminal to pick up people and came just a little past time to our terminal. We were ok because we pre planned with enough time to get to the airport with out stress. So, do your self a favor and make sure you give yourself enough time to catch your flight. Don't wait till the last minute and then blame them.

You know they are going to be there when you walk out. Living in Katy, it's hard to find an uber or Lyft in the evening or at night coming back from IAH. Recently, my wife got dropped 6 times in an hour trying to get both a Lyft and Uber. I finally drove out at 8pm to pick her up. Price - reasonable. They compare to Lyft or Uber Black. Last Lyft to/from IAH was right at $100 each way (not Black service) or $200+tip. Return ride for me, late in the evening and had to wait 30 mins to finally get picked up. Lots of frustration. With AWR, it's a bit more expensive, but door to door service and guaranteed to be there. What is peace of mind worth. Great cars. This trip, very new Mercedes electric. Nice. Way nicer than Black Service from the other two. Easy to schedule online a day out or weeks out.

The company later addressed those concerns, and I agreed to update my review and rating accordingly. I rented a Rolls-Royce Ghost for my wedding on Friday night, and the service itself went smoothly. However, by Saturday morning--still during my wedding weekend--I began receiving persistent messages from the company pressuring me to change my review immediately. I informed a representative that I intended to update it by the end of the weekend, but despite this, I was met with unprofessional and increasingly aggressive behavior. Most concerning of all, I was threatened by the driver, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. The situation escalated to a point where I've seriously considered contacting the authorities. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this company. While the car was beautiful, the harassment and threatening behavior I endured afterward were completely unacceptable.
