Used CDs are in ABC order, there's a section for 45s, dollar bins, DVDs and VHS, and both a playable Nintendo Entertainment System and a SEGA Genesis! It was fun to peruse through the countless merch. The music playing over the shop's sound system was EXCELLENT. Made me want to take my time just so I could listen to whatever was playing at the time. This is one of the cleanest, finest record shops I've been in to, and I can't wait to go back.

The vintage clothing section is small, and some of it is legit vintage. They have some local photos and t-shirts and suchlike. It's not Balsa Bills, by any means, but if you collect that stuff, have a look. I will not buy vinyl here because they are trashing their own stock. They store hundreds of LP's in flimsy cardboard boxes piled atop one another under the racks, and the covers get bent, flaky and dog eared. If you lack the initiative to make wooden LP crates for your under stock, you are not really interested. There is usually one person hanging out behind the counter, but they're not what you'd call interested. The prices are high for the condition but if you don't mind trashed covers I heard you can sometimes find a playable record for a couple of bucks.

I saw this place and felt, this was it. I ran inside to ask if they took donations and they said yes and to drive along the side of the building. I pulled up my SUV and asked if I could be alone while I did this and the sweet lady hugged me and said yes. I didn't hesitate and felt at ease with this thrift shop and prayed that all her beautiful clothes and shoes would bless the right people and that they too would look lovely in them. I will never go back to this thrift anytime soon for it was for a purpose. However, GO! They had some great things and prices at affordable prices. Godspeed!

A few days ago, I saw a pair of white pants I liked in the window display and decided to stop in. When I asked if they had the pants in a "Large" size, the older woman working at the time (who may be the owner) looked at me and my body and very sharply (and rudely) said that this store is a boutique. She explained that if their store carried sizes larger than a size 10, it would no longer be considered a boutique. If the goal of this store is to leave potential customers feeling humiliated and shamed for their bodies, then I'd say they're doing a great job. Please shop at any of the other, actually inclusive, boutiques in Cocoa Village - in the case of our little town, one bad apple does not actually spoil the bunch. (And a quick side note: when my daughter later left a review on my behalf, it was removed for not being a "firsthand experience." Well, here I am, the woman who went into the store in the first place, leaving my review of my firsthand experience.)

Their mission is to provide food, clothing, rent, utilities, medication, gas, and tuition to their school to anyone in need in the Melbourne area. They operate a large food pantry next to the thrift store. I stopped by to check out this thrift store during a recent trip to Melbourne. Parking is tough and I had to wait a few minutes for a spot to open up. It was well worth the wait because the store is quite large and neatly organized. Ascension Catholic Thrift sells gently used furniture, collectibles, clothes, bikes, shoes, accessories, books, movies, records, home goods, games, toys, art, small appliances, and more. Christmas was half off and they had ornaments for only $1. They had a number of televisions plugged in and operating which I don't usually see at thrift stores. Prices were more than fair, selection was vast, and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. In addition to the support they provide the community they are also keeping items out of the landfill and offering discounted items to people who might not be able to otherwise afford them. This worthy organization is a great place to donate, shop, and volunteer your time to.

This is a lovely antique market!…read more Although this was clearly an old grocery store or something like it. The space was taken over by a mother and daughter team and purposefully revamped to be an antique market. They clearly put a lot of thought into the design, layout, and even the lighting. It is definitely the cleanest, brightest, and best laid out antique market I have ever been to. When you first walk in the door there are several rows of glass cases containing jewelry and memorabilia. This is amazing for two reasons. 1. Because it is so many like items together. 2. Very few antique stores have such a large display of small items such as jewelry collectibles and memorabilia such as this. All of the stalls are laid out very neatly. But of course it is up to the renter of each stall as to how it is furnished and displayed. So as normal some are better than others. But all of them are quite wonderful. There is everything from antiques, vintage, memorabilia, glassware, homeware, lots of furniture, and handmade goods. So it is not 100% antique but I do feel that the handmade goods are upscale and fit well in the environment. It does not detract from or make you feel like you are missing out on antique options. Now that being said, that it is beautifully laid out and well curated. It is a little pricey. Not that the items are priced above their market value but most booths are pricing everything at the top end. So do be warned that you're probably not going to find a crazy amount of bargains. Now booths do have sales from time to time. And you can find some cheaper items. For example I got a beautiful pair of vintage enamel earrings for four dollars. But it is not an underpriced junk store. It is an upscale antique market. But it is definitely a very enjoyable experience and well worth a visit if not just to look at all the wonderful things!
