We shrugged it off but that was not a great first impression for us. We told her that we wanted to look around but she wouldn't allow that because no one was available to tour us. Again, she was very harsh and extremely rude. Not sure why they would have someone so unprofessional at the front desk. (Strike one) We looked in what seemed to be the activity room and a very disheveled lady told us that she was the activity director. She was also abrupt. My husband asked a couple of questions but she seemed annoyed by him even asking! Again, very unprofessional! (Strike two!) We decided to leave at that point knowing that this wasn't the place for my father. But as we were leaving, the elderly lady was standing there gossiping about a resident with what seemed to be another employee. (Strike three)

He also could explain some of my pains that two specialists couldn't. I went from thinking I had a chronic problem to understanding my body healing and taking time which helped my mental state be at peace and as Mike said, it took time but I'm mostly back to normal. Her office kindly allowed me to bring my two children with me, & she graciously allowed (& even encouraged) me to nurse & soothe my baby as needed. At times she even held & rocked him herself so that I could make the most of our sessions, & thoughtfully integrated him into our practice so that I could learn methods of strengthening that were practical to my everyday life. Karen encouraged me to work on building strength each day, but she was also understanding & supportive of my efforts on weeks when I struggled. I can not recommend Karen Leitz & Whidbey Performance Physical Therapy highly enough for their kindness & understanding as I did my best to manage my infant & toddler at their office each week.
