Polite staff, on time pick-up. I am grateful for the service, as well as being flexible when I requested a less frequent pick-up.

I came to Island County ("the dump") to get rid of a carpet Grandma had when spending a few days…read morewith her. The carpet was large and we were charged a flat rate. We were able to back the car up to the dumpster area and get close enough that there was not too much wrestling to get the carpet into the dumpster. She had some other items she was thinking of getting rid of, such as paint, and when we asked about disposal we learned that oil-based and water-based paints required different disposal procedures. Learned something new on our visit. We went in the morning soon after it opened for the day and it was not too busy, the worker at the entrance where we paid the flat fee was friendly, full of insight, and eager to share what she knew to help out.

If you're looking for a place to dispose of large items household goods yard waste and even…read morehazardous materials this is the place. It was my first time going to a dump around in this area and they're not that easy to find but I came across this one and it is open seven days a week that accepts virtually anything before disposal. It's a little intimidating cuz it's very massive but once you're in they way your vehicle with your disposable Goods they allow you to go back into the area where you get rid of your disposables and then on the way out yeah, the way your vehicle and then they charge you the difference. I had a bunch of stuff from the house several toilets broken mirrors frames and a bunch of other stuff several hundred pounds ended up costing me 30 bucks.

The place is well labeled and the guy who was on shift there reached out to me and asked if I…read moreneeded any help. I'd definitely recommend it!

I do not regularly use the services of places such as this as I rely mainly on garbage pickup. But…read moreon the occasion I have needed to go and dispose of items myself that I know Waste Management won't pick up. That being said, this was my first time using the Snohomish County Solid Waste Transfer Center and it was a good experience. I know, going to the "dump" being a good experience sound odd, but good customer service, politeness and efficiency really does make the difference whether at a restaurant, retail store, coffee shop, or the "dump". In this case, every person I encountered that worked there was polite, courteous and helpful, meaning we were acknowledged, greeted, directed and thanked. They may have hated their job or were having a bad day, but I wouldn't have known. Good signage and direction made the experience quick and efficient with little to no delay so we were in and out Ricky-Tick. But in that short time the customer service did not go unnoticed. From the the gal in the booth/gate to the people on the dump site directing traffic. Honestly some restaurants and stores I've been to could take a lesson about customer service from them, no joke. As for the price 360 lbs. or less = $20, includes tax (minimum fee) Over 360 lbs. = $105 per ton, plus tax I think pretty reasonable, but the gal at the booth did inform us as we were checking out that prices would be going up to $30 for the minimum fee. Still not to bad I think.
