Great shaved ice. Decent açaí bowls (but they were better when they used to be made fresh).

Great place to get ice cream! So many unique flavors! Got the 'dirty water' it is coffee ice cream…read morewith brownie chunks and chocolate chips they also have a full food menu. The ice cream is Giffords from MA. So nice tucked back in the woods. Tables with umbrellas to sit at, and if you walk down the path, there are chairs by the river!! So peaceful to sit and eat. The server taking our order could have been friendlier, especially when not understanding something, but would definitely go back!!

What a great place to stop for cold treats and hot foods too!…read more Balthazar's Ice Shack is a small food shack located in the woods near the banks of the Sugar River (South Branch) along NH 31. It sort of feels like a cozy campsite in the woods. They offer 24 flavors of Blake's Ice Cream (cones, sundaes, frappes, floats), shaved ice, protein drinks, soft drinks, water. For hot foods, they offer sliders, hot dogs, quesadillas, chicken strips, chicken drums, fries, chili cheese fries, nachos, clam cakes, banana fritters, poutine, and a daily special item. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. There is ample seating and places to enjoy your cold treat and hot foods here including umbrella round table seating (near the shack) and wood chair seating down the small hill along the river bank and also chair seating in the river (river seats), great place to cool off! I stopped here recently while driving through Goshen. I ordered a Pina Colada Shaved Ice ($3), which was a very nice cold treat with a good amount of pina colada juice and surprises at the bottom of the treat, plenty of chewy colorful gummy bears! After looking at the hot foods menu, I decided to order some food to go! I ordered the Saturday Special which was a Lasagna and a piece of soft Italian bread ($6) and an order of Clam Cakes (6 for $4.50). The piece homemade lasagna was very good, similar to what I make at my home, which had layers of noodles, cheeses, ground beef, and tomato sauce. The clam cake balls were deep fried golden, which had a soft chewy texture with minced pieces of clam in the dough with tartar sauce on the side. The last time I had enjoyed clam cakes was two years ago at a fair in CT. Overall, this place not only serves great cold treats and hot foods, but also offers a unique experience of enjoying your treats very close to or in the Sugar River.

I am a fan of mango and my favorite is the Mango Shaved Snow. The shaved snow melts in your mouth!…read moreDefinitely cannot find any other dessert spot that can make shaved snow as delicious as this. It has a spoonful of mango syrup which enhances the shaved snow. So definitely pour on that delicious mango syrup! The mango is so fresh and it is creatively put together to enjoy! The pandan toast is warm and has a light crisp to it. Not a strong flavor, but it suits the toast very well to enjoy. I also like the toast a lot! The ice cream croffle is another great choice to try! The strawberry ice cream is mixed in with fresh fruit pieces and is mixed in a flavorful texture to the croffle. Overall, I am a big fan of Oasit's and it is a favorite dessert spot! I have always enjoyed desserts where the dessert is "not too sweet" and all the desserts here were delicious. I highly recommend this cozy dessert spot to go with friends, family or date. The staff is very nice and friendly. I like the ambiance and environment that is filled with anime.

They're generous with the mango and mochi, and the ice is super soft and creamy. It's a really cute dessert cafe. When we go during the day there's usually no wait, but it can get pretty busy after dinner. However, the wait has never been too long.
