I was looking for a last minute photographer to come out and take pictures for our family reunion…read more I am not from the area so I did a yelp search and found project rare!! Even though there were no yelp reviews I decided to reach out anyways and am so glad I did!! Joey was easy to communicate via yelp and text. Fair pricing and accommodating. He came over with his equipment and wore a mask at my request. He was very flexible with our needs. He was good at giving instruction/direction as well as making sure we were getting the shots we wanted. We had about 18 people total including kids and had some ideas in mind of what type of photos we wanted. He spent a little over an hour with us and it only took 3 days to receive the final product with editing. He edited all photos that were taken and sent the photos in a link for everyone to download. It was a very smooth process from start to finish. He takes all form of payment so that made things easy. The pictures came out wonderful! We wanted some posed and some candid... Now we will have memories that will last a lifetime! Thanks again for everything! If we ever need a photographer again while in the area we will definitely contact you!

I had some hesitation about calling him after finding the two google reviews, but since he came recommended and the reviews were three years old, I gave him a call. Steve was very friendly and told me everything I needed to know about replacing my large Pella single casement lower sash (with muntin bars) that I had broken by backing my car into it. I had already called Pella, who told me to call Lowe's, which I did. They were able to provide an estimate of $190.00, but the window would not arrive for 30 days. Steve promised me the same window in less than a week for only $30.00 more. Steve came out to my house in Boerne on Monday to do the measurements and take the sash. He arrived exactly when he said he would, which was a time we had established to MY convenience. I offered to come down to San Antonio to pick up the finished product on Friday, but he insisted on installing it himself. I was a little worried at about 2:30pm on Friday when I hadn't heard from him, but just shortly afterward, he texted me that he had received the window and would be out before 5:00pm. He braved Friday I-10 traffic to get to my house and installed the window and it was a perfect match to the upper sash (and the matching window on the other side). While doing the installation, he had to fix up the aluminum rods in the frame, which apparently I had disconnected while removing the sash. It would have taken me ages to figure that out, so I'm very glad he insisted on doing the installation. Not only that, he volunteered to repair the screen which was totally trashed after I hit it. He fixed the screen frame and put in new screen fabric as well! This was really above and beyond and saved me a lot of extra money. The whole time I interacted with Steve, I found him to be exceptionally personable and knowledgeable about the area (both San Antonio and Boerne). He said he's never worried much about online reviews because most of his business is with larger commercial accounts. But I promised I would do what I could to restore his google rating by leaving a rave review. Do not give those old reviews a moment's consideration -- neither of them explain why they were given -- don't ever trust a one or two star rating that has no explanation for why they left it, could be a competitor or just someone with a grudge. If you need any glass work done in the San Antonio area, don't hesitate to call Steve at S.M.T. Glass & Window!

I called in the morning, and he arrived that afternoon exactly when promised. His work or task was never rushed, took the time to talk about soccer etc. Unlike many companies that insisted on coming out just to give an estimate hoping to make the sale, EJ gave me a quote over the phone based on the details I provided. I already knew my garage door springs needed replacing, and he didn't try to upsell me. His price was less than half of the estimates I received from the large companies. He had high-cycle springs in stock, which I specifically wanted to avoid replacing them again in just a few years. Most other companies told me those would have to be special ordered. He also provided a 10-year warranty, adjusted the garage door, and showed me how to lubricate it properly. I'd definitely call EJ again and highly recommend him and will call on him again when needed. His service territory includes La Vernia for no additional trip charges.

Requested a quote through Yelp and they were the only company that gave me an actual estimate…read morewithout trying to schedule a "free in-person estimate". I have a terrible work schedule but they had no problem working with me. You will get a text before they head your way within a short window (unlike companies that tell you 8am-8pm). They did the job very professionally without cutting corners on my garage opener installation. I am picky with attention to detail and they did not fall short. They routed the wires appropriately and set up the opener nicely instead of exposing all the wires. One small change that I would make is putting the wires through the hole on the face plate. My house came with the face plate holes. I always think it looks strange with the wires not going through the provided hole. Not a big deal though, just a minor detail. Lastly, they quoted me an amount and that's the price I paid. A lot of people quote without taxes included. It's a nice touch instead of having to worry about paying 8% more to your quoted price.

A rep came out said he fixed the opener and suggested I get new silicone rollers (I had old metal ones). Since I had recently had my home weather sealed and painted, so I agreed to the work. The work was done, opener issue was still not resolved, so I called back. As I was showing the new rep the issue I noticed holes in my drywall. From where the long bar had been removed and replaced. I pointed this out to the new rep, but he stated he was an independent contractor. *Note: He actually reworked and fixed my opener issue. I'm actually in shock that I wasn't informed about the holes during the work, but I'm sure that was to alleviate liability. Now my outer siding has damage as well. Probably won't be using this company again and highly suggesting you all be fully forewarned
