The days tour was over and in the short time I had left (before returning to the cruise ship), I decided to walk around downtown Skagen and enjoy the warm and sunny weather. This is a tourist area, of which I picked up a lot of German. Most folks here already knew English, but if I had to I'm good at smiling and pointing.
This area seemed to be loaded with ice cream places, of which I picked Ishjørnet. The place was busy, but I soon learned the lines and their system. I returned to the street with a nice 2-flavor double scoop and proceeded to carry on. I'm not an ice cream connoisseur, but this was one of those right time, right place experiences with my tasty treat. read more
