At the beginning, I was…read moretold that I was a good candidate based on my skin and hair color and that I should expect roughly a 10% decrease after each session. I ended up paying for 8-11 sessions and noticed no change in some areas. In others, where I originally felt there was a some decrease, maybe 20-30%, the hair started coming back a few months after I finished my treatments. I remember the front-desk lady saying every single time that she had 13 sessions and had absolutely no hair at all, so I figured maybe I would see more of a decrease toward the end. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. At this current moment, some areas have a 15% decrease, some have no decrease, and some i'd say the hair is more pronounced than it was before and this is after all of my 8 full body sessions + 3 more for brazilian and underarm. I reached out to customer service by email about my experience and requested a partial refund, since it was a lot of money. After an entire month, I finally got a response from someone over the phone who said, "Sorry it didn't work for you, but that's not our fault." It's honestly pretty sad that such a large company wouldn't offer anything when their service clearly didn't work as promised. I hope my review helps someone else avoid making the same huge mistake I did.

I visited their Huntington Beach location and had such a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Because of that positive experience, I decided to purchase a Groupon and book another treatment at their Irvine location. Unfortunately, I couldn't have been more disappointed. My appointment was scheduled for 1:50 PM, and I live approximately 30 minutes away. At 1:30 PM, I called to let the receptionist know I was running five minutes late and would arrive at 1:55 PM. She told me that was completely fine. At 1:48 PM, they texted asking if I was on my way. I couldn't respond because I was driving. Shockingly, at 1:52 PM, they had already canceled my appointment, marked me as a no-show, and sent a message saying I would be charged 50% of the service! I arrived at exactly 1:55 PM, just as I had promised, only to find the door LOCKED. Nobody would answer or let me in. I called customer service, and even they couldn't reach anyone at the Irvine location. I stood outside waiting for approximately 30 minutes until an Uber delivery driver arrived. Suddenly, an employee opened the door to accept the delivery. When I approached her to explain what happened, she was incredibly rude and dismissive, saying she was on her lunch break and didn't want to talk to me. So apparently, they had time to open the door for an Uber delivery but couldn't take a moment to help a paying customer who had called ahead and arrived at the agreed-upon time? What makes this even more frustrating is that I genuinely liked SEV Laser after my experience at Huntington Beach. I was happy to support the company with my own money after initially being introduced through a PR collaboration. Unfortunately, the Irvine location completely ruined that impression. I understand businesses have cancellation policies, but customers should not be penalized after receiving verbal approval to arrive five minutes late. Being marked as a no-show before I even arrived, locked out, and then treated rudely is simply unacceptable. I will NEVER return to the Irvine location. I hope management takes customer service more seriously because no customer deserves to be treated this way, especially after making the effort to communicate in advance. I am now requesting to transfer my Groupon to their Long Beach location because I refuse to return to Irvine after this experience.

I called multiple times over the last few weeks and left voicemails trying to reach someone, I never got a single callback. I no longer live in the area and booked this appointment my only chance back in town. On the morning of my appointment I called to confirm since I never received a confirmation email or reminder. No one answered. I had to call the Manhattan Beach location just to find out that Costa Mesa was closed. I was never notified. No call, no email, nothing. This location has gone noticeably downhill. It is nearly impossible to reach anyone by phone, and they have switched away from medical grade numbing cream which has made tattoo removal significantly more painful than it used to be. I still have several sessions remaining that I need to use up, but if you are looking for a reliable provider I would honestly recommend going elsewhere. The quality of this location has gone down tremendously and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone. I genuinely hope management addresses these issues because the service I experienced years ago was excellent. This is not that.
